Cool Video: Supercharged M3 ESS-VT625 vs. F1 Car

We had a nice day yesterday where we did drive some F1 cars (detuned to 550 hp), they are fast (understatement).

I almost crashed one of them, when i lost the grip on the rear tires i a tight curve, they had to come a pull me out of the grass.

In the end of the day we made a small race, me (M3 ESS-VT625 supercharged) vs. F1 Car vs. Nissan GT-R

There was a thread few weeks back about NASCAR vs F1. This only proves that F1 cars are easier to drive, that even an average Joe can drive it.

Thanks for vid.

Have you seen the Top Gear video of Hammond trying to drive an F1 car? I would not say your average Joe is capable of handling such cars. We know nothing about OP and the driver of the F1 car.

Back on topic, awesome video and cars!

It is realy a beast, you biggest problem is to keep your head up in the curves after a couple of laps, the G-forces are rely strong. You could probably go twice as fast in the curves as with a M3.
I do have muscular pain in the neck

They are detuned to 550 hp but still do 0-200 km/h in 5sek

Exactly. Really? I mean a ford or chevy vs. Mclaren, Ferrari or Redbull. C'mon, that's just ridiculousness.

Lol I dont know about that... Hammond tried and failed miserably. Maybe this one is not using a pedal controlled clutch though. That would at least make it a little bit easier to drive (but driving it fast would be a whole different story).

Still, F1 cars pull 5g's in a turn, an M3 doesn't even do 1g... pretty big difference. I doubt 90% of the members on this forum could control that car in a 5g turn skating right on the edge of traction. Nevermind doing that repeatedly...

This is silly nonsense. Hammond and Chris Harris both struggled to drive an F1 car around the track once. The notion that F1 cars are easy to drive is on some stupid level it's hard to put it to words. Jeff Gordon had trouble driving it for the first time when him and Montoya swapped cars. At the end, Gordon came out looking like he just went to the moon and Montoya looked like he just rode a swan boat. You are required to go above a certain speed around turns just to generate enough heat for the brakes to even work in an F1 car. Hammond said "My brain doesn't process things fast enough when I have to go that fast"

For the OP, are you sure this is a Formula 1 car? It looks more like an Indy race car. What company made the car and supplied it? I know that it is VERY hard to obtain an actual former formula 1 car. The technology that goes into them, even ten years ago, is still used in today's cars, the mclaren, ferrari, williams etc would be very reluctant to release them to the general public for every day track use.

Yes it is a F1 car this one http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/1...-Cosworth.html itīs from 2002 and the motor was detuned to 550 hp at 12000 rpm, but it was fast anyway.I had no problem go almost twice as fast at the track as with my M3.
I did 5 laps with it after that i was completely exhausted. I cant even imagine how it feels doing a full race..

I can only hope to one day have the honor of taking a few laps around a track in a F1 car.

More power to ya bro, you truly are living the dream.

Looks like the 2002 Arrows.

They must have removed the V10.

Sounds like it has a more reliable V8 installed.
