Wow congratulations. I can totally feel and share your excitement. It is fantastic to see this baby with M-DKG in the flesh. It has almost seemed like a ghost thus far. This is by far the biggest innovation and most important option on the car (MHO). If your car gets released you will beat the press to testing. What will be really unfortunate is that darn break in procedure. I think I would drive her 18 hours a day until broken in so I could experience the LC and 1->2 and 2->3 shifts in S6 at WOT!

I was about to ask why a Euro car had bumper reflectors.
Now i understand why.

We need a review asap.

Skier,

It was delivered yesterday (18 Mar) to my dealer but not to me. It can't be released to me until 29 March....how in the hell can I make it until then or how in the hell can I get BMW MSP to release it to me NOW prior to this BS official delivery date?

TERRIBLE, I figured this would happen. They can not afford to have a regular "plebe" getting a scoop ahead of all the journalists. I feel for you man. Maybe you can just sneak in a test drive with the dealer present? I imagine the German dealers will stick to official rules from HQ more strictly than US dealers.

Contacted dealer that first M-DCT had arrived at a dealer in the US. Dealer informed me that BMW Canada had a red coupe out back since Monday with M-DCT but did not let me know as mine is 6MT. It is raining, turning dark & car is locked & only BMW Canada has the keys so the picture thru the window is not the best.

turb934 you should start a new thread.

SMSgt's car is a US spec car, but its not in North America. You've spotted the first one on this side of the pond I believe. Is that a customer car, or BMW CA car of some kind?
