thats fine, though people might want to branch out from taking photos of sunsets. a few other forum contests i have been a part of had some pretty interesting/more complex themes so thought I'd try it here.

Is there a harm to wait until at least Friday night? If no one else submits by tomorrow night, then the only submission wins by default and he/she picks a new theme that can start on Saturday. Thoughts??

i have no idea if this "fits the bill", but we're at work and i took the shot from my chest - she had no clue what i was doin when i took the shot.

1) it's dramatic
2) we're in a "business"

I understand where you are coming from. I guess I was hoping people would take the initiative to go seek these things out like models and plan a shot with specific lighting and such. This is what I've been learning in school and I suppose choosing this was my attempt at passing along a bit of that to everyone else. Its Thursday at noon (close enough). What do we want to do here since technically there is only about 36 hrs left to submit to this contest yet only 1 photo submitted that kinda sorta fits the theme (no offense judd)? Should I make a new theme and take up another week? Should we just move on to #33? Should we let JH pick the next one so I don't always get my way ?

Tell me what everyone is thinking here.

Don't worry about it, none taken. Just thought I'd submit whatever I had in an easily accessible folder, then offer some disingenuous, hipster photo caption explanation, trying to justify whatever tiny bit of drama/irony was there. Next time I'll take it more seriously.

Don't know about you, but I'm well into a bottle of Cab. Typical Friday night.

My options:

1) You choose a new theme. Something simpler, but not sunset simple, if you get my drift.

2) Give to Holland. His pic was legit and easy to look at.

3) Give it to DC, who really ended up with the most votes last time anyway.

If you want to make a theme that pushes us to shoot something new, then make sure it's an easy theme (i.e. doesn't involve needing a model, something difficult to get a hold of, etc). Otherwise, go with something that we can either shoot or may be common-enough to find in our archives.
