I installed the H8 V3 about 18 months ago. The driver bulb just burned out. Is this a normal life expectancy or a fluke? These LED bulbs ought to last a lot longer than 18 months. BNot sure whether to just get a pair and wait for the other to die or try to get a single one if it was a fluke. Lux has no phone listed. I don't need the adjustability of the V4 for more $$. The V3 looked great. Are the V3 still available. What Kelvin rating were they? Thx.

1 year warranty on something only supposed to last 2 years is a very odd ratio.

I'd be pretty disappointed if they lasted only two years. Especially at their price point. I've had mine for about a year so far and they seem to be holding up Ok.

They're email was deliberately vague.

One of mine failed just a month or two out of warranty and the car had around 6000 miles on it. I was pretty disappointed that I had to shell out another $45.00 to get the power supply replaced. For the price I agree it should last more than 6000 miles.

The LED's were not the issue in my situation it was the power supply as noted above.

As the posters above said it's the power supply and not the LEDs. Mine went out after 2.5 yrs and I upgraded to the V4. I kept the broken V3 though. I have actually tested the broken V3 by cutting out the power supply and just directly run it to the plug and coded up the car to supply a lower voltage to the AE. That seem to work perfectly fine. I am using the V4 now but if that goes out, I will most likely just used my 'hacked' V3. You might want to look into that and see.

I received your PM and i will respond to it right now for you. these would be past our 1-year warranty but as mentioned we can still evaluate this for you and get this repaired for you at a minimal cost. I'll get all the information over to you through PM.

Wish mine were evaluated, great product as for color and brightness but should have lasted me more than 6000 miles and 14 months.

Can we purchase spare power supplies from you so we can install ourselves if they should fail again?

How come the warranty is only for a year? For consumers living out of America, shipping and returns work out to more than the actual cost of the lights

For customers outside the USA we already have a different way of handling warranty issues to avoid additional shipping and time.

Bringing this back up...

Does this manifest in the form of the daytime lamp burning out & throwing an error? My driver's side is out, but the main bulb is still working.

Mine also burned out on one side after about a year. Since mine is now a dedicated track car, I decided to switch back to the OEM bulbs.

I had one burn out as well (also in the 18 month timeframe) and was annoyed that such an expensive product was already dead. So I chanced it and bought 2 bulbs off ebay for about $19. I can tell a slight difference but not enough to warrant $210+. If it dies after 3 months, oh well. I won't be upset due to the minimal cost. I know others have concerns with the China LEDs, but so far so good.

I've had my V3's for 3 years and almost 20k miles now. We'll see how much longer mine lasts. I'm not sure if I'd be willing to fork out that much again for replacements should the time come to replace them.

Mine burned out last week. I have about 1.5 years and around 7,000 miles. I was hoping for a more reliable product for the price. Maybe I can send it in for repair.
