If someone gets a hold of the Edition model shocks, please do a side-by-side comparison to see if there are any geometry changes. Of course, we will need to dyno the shocks to understand how they are revalved.

While we're not there yet, forum member jordanfox was gracious enough to send me the last 7 digits of his Edition VIN, which I passed on to Scott from BMW of Houston. Hopefully he can get us all the relevant PNs on the Edition suspension so we can quickly determine if the shocks are different (Ant Man's dealer is suggesting that they're not).

My money is that the PN of the Edition shocks will match the PN of the Japanese shocks, which might also match the PN of the Competition shocks.

Unfortunately even having a "Edition" vin # did not provide any information for me. Even after plugging in the vin # i was not able to locate even the obvious "Edition" specific components (grilles, side vents, entry mouldings) so my reach is at its limit. The "Edition" M3 appears to be viewed as a Individual car so my guess is everything has to be ordered via parts technical group in AG.

My theory is that the only difference is the springs, but the Japanese theory is also logical.

Thanks for following up. I've asked a couple of Edition owners on the forum who live in territories where the car is sold to see if they can get the PNs from their service advisors.
