Looking for Wheel Repair & Powdercoating in Atlanta...
I have one wheel with minor curb rash that I'd like to get it fixed, and I also want to get the whole set powdercoated. I checked Yelp and it looks like Metro Wheels is the best in the area (http://www.metrowheels.net). Can anyone confirm or provide any other suggestions?
Thank you! |

I had a wheel done by Wheelright. I don't know if that is still their name or if they are still in business.

Thanks bud, but I called them too (also good yelp ratings) and no luck!! Their number is disconnected. I guess I'll just roll with Metro Wheels, no pun intended. hehe

Millers Powdercoating has been highly recommended to me from other forum members as well but they do not unmount/mount so you would have to just bring them the bare wheels. I have not had my wheels done yet but this is probably where I'll go. Not sure if they repair. |

LOL... nice!!! A friend of mine just recommended Millers Powdercoating to me yesterday too. I'll give them a call to compare pricing. FYI, Metro quoted me $110/wheel for repair and $130/wheel to powdercoat (repair included). I definitely like the unmount/mount option, but we'll see what Millers has to offer. More later...

So I finally got a hold of Millers and they quoted me $75/wheel. They said they do not actually do repair, but stated that they do smooth out most rough edges in their sanding process, before powdercoating. And they also do not mount/unmount.
I also spoke to Alloy Wheel Repair Specialist and they quoted me $150/wheel for repair and paint. This was the mobile guy behind Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead. |

I've used both companies. Both are great and they do nice work.
Here's the latest set I had done about 2 years ago from Millers. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=597853 |

Nice!! Those look like they have a nice finish on them. I'm going to go visit Metro and Millers in person to get a feel for the shops and I'll decide from there. The OEM silver is actually growing on me a little bit (although I miss gunmetal after the brake dust starts to show on silver), so I'll likely wait a few more months to powdercoat them. I dunno, we'll see.
