Macht Schnell x-pipe thoughts

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I have been hunting for x pipes recently n can't really narrow down just one. I thought I decided on the challenge race then came across the Macht Schnell x-pipe that is pretty much the same but $500 less. Anyone have any feed back on this vs the challenge?

I have the MS Xpipe very nice quality and fit is spot on. I doubt you will notice a diff in performance. Drew I believe is running it too

Every X pipe sold is overpriced. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

Is is raspy? The couple vids I found on it seemed like it was super raspy. I have a Megan axle back but if its too loud I may put my pig axle back on.

It will be raspier.. I don't have MS but had the same thing w/ 2 resonators and it was raspy.. I have since added 2 more (now 4) and it is 90% rasp free. My rear section is a little raspy itself too though and the Megan is a deeper tone so your setup may not be as raspy.

Well said. There will always be more rasp with no cats and only 2 resonators no matter who makes it.

So the moral of the story is spend $500 less on a Macht Schnell and add two more resonators!

Yeah try it the way it comes and worst case scenario a good shop can add additional resonators if it's still too raspy and you'll still have saved $$$

good call, many overlook it and it's a great well made piece and relatively cheap

edit: about 200 bucks cheaper from Jegs

Yep, definitely could find for less than the $1485. Turner would come down from that. Think EAS carries some Borla too. They probably have reasonable pricing, would match jegs or whoever.

I've used the Borla midpipe and I'm now running the MS midpipe because it is better made and fitment is spot on unlike the Borla. The Borla midpipe had fitment issues and the brackets by the X eventually broke off. The MS is definitely raspier but nothing a pair of resonators can't fix. I have it paired to Corsa mufflers and at 65 mph in 7th (DCT) there is absolutely ZERO drone. Absolutely BONKERS when you lay on the gas pedal.

Glad to see your feedback. Seems MS makes good high quality parts.
