Bmw m3 after tuned 335i

Hello guys i just think in future to change my 335i for the e92 m3. So the question is if some of you already changed what is your opinion? was the torque in m3 enough after tuned 335?

Please all your opinions.
Thanks

i own both and my m3 currently has intake, exhaust, deleted cats and it lacks low end torque, nothing compare to a jb3 335i. I would still recommend you go for m3

I think it has been discussed about a million times that the m3 isn't a drag type car. The m3 is in a different category than the 335. That being said, try searching the many threads comparing the two...heck might as well search dct vs 6sp.

Good luck

Its like this OP on drive logic 1 setting, you push the gas, and for about 4 seconds you are wondering if you have actually hit the pedal until it begins to pull. It gets less worse but much more jerky as you increase the drive logic. I have learned to love the drugged feeling of the car on DL1, but Ive come from a N/A 320i, lol. So I dont know if you 335 guys will ever be happy with the low end lack of power, but once you pass that certain RPM, you forget all about that and realize how blissful it is to be in command of this masterful V8. NICE.

Hope you get inna mtree OP.

I had a jb3 on my 335 and going to m3 the torque is MUCH less I miss 335 for that. You are not going to get that instant rush like the 335 gives you. When in the 335 I felt that I can leave any car from 0-100 with the jb3 and the M3 lacks this, the car feels much more sluggish in terms of acceleration. But what I can tell you is that when you weight the pros and cons you will not miss the 335 because the M3 is a much nicer looking car it looks much more militant and sportier and handles much better. Any car enthusiast will pick the much linear high end revving engine than the torque 335. When you past 6k rpm the engine sound alone will make you want to trade your 335. To sum it up the only thing you will miss is the boost from the turbos, I hope this helps.

Understand what M means in the context of the M3:

Still wondering if you should keep your 335i?

335 with jb3 feels fast, m3 (dct) is fast especially when modded as well:

I came from a full bolt on 335 with meth, dont regret my decision at all and with my setup now actually pull on fbo 335s that arent on race gas....do it you wont regret it

There's a huge difference between feeling fast and actually going fast. If all you care about is the feel, then the M3 is probably not for you. I went from a tuned (among other things) 135i and the M3 is more satisfying in almost every way.

A M3 needs to be above 7000 rpm to pull equal or more power ( 360 wHP) than a chipped 335. On a race track at high speeds ( > 65 mph) it can do that quite well as you can keep the rpm up with the right gear choice. On the street in 0-60 runs no.

A M3 is handling, handling, handling, engine sound, looks, and status.

Also coming from a chipped 335, I have been very happy with what I got.
It is not a street racer, there are much cheaper cars for that ( suggest the new Mustang for one).

Unfortunately, all that has made the m3 a special car is going out the window with the f3x. To the op, get an M3 if you can before we begin a new shitty era of turbos in ///marketing.

Probably because if straight line performance is all you care about, the M3 is not the car for you. And if you are already trying to compare the low end torque feeling from a tuned N54-55 to the M3, you will be disappointed. It's just a different kind of car. I think it takes a certain type of driver to appreciate and prefer a high revving N/A car over one with lots of power available at cruising RPMs.

It is actually not the torque.. it is the power at the low revs. Since there is more torque available at low revs, the resulting power at low revs is more.

I can telll you will love the C63 Coupé. LOADS of torque, LSD, and handles better than the sedan. Sounds good and feels fast

I own both cars 335 and m3. Both are 2011.

The difference between the two are night and day. To those people that think the m3 doesn't have enough torque for daily driving, they smoking the real good stuff. The m3 has waaaay more torque and power than 335 throughout the whole range.

I've never driven a tuned 335 so I can't speak for that but handling and drivability ESP with dct the m3 is different
