most likely he chose the plate, it's similar to vanity plates but not really since the options are very limited. Pretty cool that he got the custom numbers though, i just tried getting my personalized but the 5 combinations i chose were not available, so i ended getting a randomly selected plate.
here are the restrictions/regulations on custom plates for shanghai. Plate #: AX_ _ _X A: custom plates all begin with letter A X = 0-9 digit _ = one of these blanks has to be either A, B, C, or D the other two _ will be 0-9 digits |

I'm not sure about the rest of the numbers, but I know for getting blue plates, I can choose from a wide variety of numbers.

Roads in Taipei are like a city filled with gophers lol..
http://www.monstersandcritics.com/ne..._fill_potholes Yes, Los Angeles does have some bad roads. Japan and Singapore have some great roads. The roads in Hong-Kong are also good. Another city with great roads is Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The roads there are like an F1 circuit. |

I was just in Shanghai last June. Would've been nice to see your cars there, only thing close to it was an M6. You guys must eat good there, food was fantastic everywhere I went. Were your M3's imported from Germany? I noticed the paint job on most of the BM's that are built there didn't seem quite up to snuff compared to the ones coming out of GER.
