Hiya,

I was told late last week my car has been pushed back till an August build as well. I mentioned I had heard from this site that they shut for August and he said the M3 is in too much of a demand for them to close.
Anyone else heard whether they will be manufacturing in August??

Oh and Hi everyone, I'm normally posting in the Aussie section but read these forums as well, and this topic is of interest to me.

The factory is supposed to be closed for August. All 2008 MY M3s should already have been built. 2009 MY scheduled to start build in September.

It was supposed to be built this month (July), I didnt have a build week or anything like that, I don't really think my sales rep knows how it all works. I think the ordering etc. is very different here in Oz compared to the US based on volume of orders etc.
My business partner and I ordered exactly the same time, same dealer, he has ordered a Jerez black E92 DCT and his is still on schedule for Sept delivery and mine (AW E92 DCT) has been pushed to August build...

Confused.........

My dealer is double confirm today that my E90 M3 is August production as he look in computer. but he said they don't have any allocation of E90 M3 for Sept production, but have some in Oct production. Very Strange !!! And I think my car may be in sept production too.....

Hi whtang123,
I emailed the BMW plant and they do shut but not for the whole of August, they have production downtime from the 4th August - 16th August 12 days only then recommence production.

Quick update for you whtang123

Received another email from Germany stating the M3 production plant does not close during the month of August but other sections do.
