You must be pretty frustrated with the delay. Why is it taking so long?

Yesterday we successfully uploaded the DCT software to the car! On my first ride the DCT setting was on manual 3. Initial impression was that the upshift were the same as before but the downshifts slightly quicker and more direct. It could be a placebo but as soon as I hit the M button all hell broke loose! Full throttle and shifts at 5,750 rpm caused the rear tires to chirp in 2-3, 3-4 gears, which it didn't do before. Shift speed was on 5 the entire time. 5 is not harsh at all, it just feels more direct and connected on upshifts and downshifts. On "spirited" driving I felt lost between DCT setting 5 and 6 but now 5 is absolutely perfect. The shifts are so quick that the tach struggles to keep up. I have yet to test setting 6.

Im not exaggerating when I tell you that this is a must for anyone who has a supercharger. Its icing on the cake. The process is quick and simple once you get the cable unlocked. No matter what error or issues you come across unlocking the cable, AJ and Roman are always quick to respond. ESS did a fantastic job.

I've rarely ever driven in D, so I'm not sure my impressions would be helpful...

New customers can get their cable pre coded to be ready for DCT use when they order. Existing customers cables need to be coded remotely, this process can vary depending on work load.

Yes or if we have direct access to the vehicle at our facility or at a dealer it can be loaded directly for the customer by appointment.

On a side note we now offer standard OEM euro spec GTS software and our Performance DCT software as options for customers.

Roman, Can you explain the difference between the OEM euro spec GTS software and your Performance DCT software?

Check out an article here on MotoIQ's Project E90 M3 where they test the ESS DCT software and the ESS E-Flash ECU tune:

Wow Id love to believe this but given they said the tune shifted peak torque over 3k rpms to right, I'm thinking maybe wasn't dynoed right. Not that ESS isn't great tune but no way its 30whp

Did you read the whole article and look at the dynograph on page 2?

The torque curve was raised with a 19lb-ft average gain and looks identical in characteristics to stock. The torque curve in the S65 is extremely flat and has two ever-so-slight humps, one at 3,900rpm and the other at 6,900rpm that are almost identical in peak torque.

The tune just gave the 6,900rpm hump a slight increase to be the new torque peak. There is not an erroneous 3,000rpm horizontal shift in the dyno, which was done by Roush Yates Engines -the NASCAR engine building organization.

There was a 24whp PEAK gain, and a 29whp MAXIMUM gain (at 6,400rpm) -which is actually incorrect because there is a 32.84whp MAXIMUM gain at 6,812rpm (303.22whp vs. 336.06whp).

Interesting gains, which seem high. Have logged both stock 240e and ESS tune with my DashDyno on actual flat road at sea level, 1000 mbar pressure with full heat exchange where hitting much closer to actual timing targets , appears to be about ~15 whp gain with the tune. From my logging, both stock and ESS tune have torque peak around 7,000 rpm, slightly higher than the next highest peak at 4000 rpm. The base dyno in this case may be a little low to begin with given the torque peak changed. One has to remember that for a given octane there is really one optimal "map" of A/F, timing, vanos that will give max power while still keeping things safe.
