Could it be that at 5500 rpm the car makes 375 up and at 8300 rpm 414hp?

No. While the torque curve is very flat, the power is increasing with RPM. At 5500RPM, the car will make less than 300hp.

Seriously though, the regional BMW engineer for my area talked about a similar increase in power.

This is freaking BULL SHIT!!!!!!!!!!

I ran my car at the track with 400 miles and got the same times as when I ran it when it had 1300miles your supposedly "Full Power". If i did indeed make another 40 HP it def would have showed at the track>>

Some of these thread are hilarious

I agree, when i got my E46 M3 new, its felt like a different car after 1200mile service and with higher miles it only got better and better, yes you can totally feel it. even as i was babying the car before 1200 service, you can still feel the difference after the 1200 service.

I am assuming it is the same with the E92 m3. cant wait till I get my car to compare. preety sure
it is...

my Micro Filter was changed at the 1200 Service. No charge. I asked why so soon. The SA said because thats what your key told my computer.

Also at 1,250 for DCT cars is when the Launch Control comes alive !!!!!

Enjoy !
