Gotta love the Benz forums 350 vs 335

http://forums.mbworld.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=208258

Dont get me wrong...I love MB but the ppl on these forums are just x100

so the 350 beats the 335 in 1 category and they'e all Crystaaal poppin
The C350 beat the 335i from 30 to 70 (6.4 sec vs. 6.5 sec)

There was mention in there that the 335 could be modded easily to get an additional 30 HP--wtf? Doesn't the Procede give you more like 70-80?

The C350 beat the 335i from 30 to 70 (6.4 sec vs. 6.5 sec). It does not say top gear but it was a 6-speed vs. an automatic. And they tied in the left handed skidpad both pulling a sweet .94g's. Not as bad as you would think. But sadly, the C350 only got a 14.9 @ 97 in the 1/4 and 6.5 sec.0 to 60 which is WAY off the 2006/2007 cars and way-way behind the 335i. But best of all, the 335i 6-speed Euro-spec sedan they tested ran the exact same 1/4 mile as my Speed Innovations tuned C350 automatic so there is hope for catching the vaunted twin-turbo Beamer with the little naturally aspirated C-Class! Go MB, go.
Beamer... lol! Those MB guys crack me up.

You guys act if this forum is any different. How many threads were made just because Motor Trend or any other magazine said the 335i wasn't a gift from god?

I had some laughs which is what this thread was for. But we all need to keep in mind many of us on here aren't any better.

i read this article in the magazine a few weeks ago - summary was the mb was only better than the beemer in 40-70 or something like that

rest was all beemer

also in all the comparisons you come accross they compare every car to a beemer

and of course, having them on the front cover sells more copies!!!!!! BMW

We all do. But until then, I guess the BMW and the Porsche will have to do. Someday though, someday.

I did not get any holier-than-thou sentiments over there other than that one guy commenting about the price of a 3-series. There seems to be more of it here than over there quite honestly...

^Every car make has its own fanboys. I do see it here as well, but there are a few on every forum. A true car hobbyist sees a car for what it is, not what badge it's wearing.

i dunno. it sounds like they're just car enthusiasts like us. "if i add this mod who will i be able to take on"

sounds like me when i was 16, but it's just fun to talk about. that's what car forums are for. the first guy's post seems pretty fair to me...
