Correct 6MT Trans Fluid and Diff Fluid?

Hey guys,

What is the correct, or recommended trans a diff fluid for the 6MT? Planning on doing these fluid swaps in the next few weeks and want to know what the correct ones are now. I've found LT-2, and LT-5 are both okay.

Also open to suggestions. I am in FL, so no real cold days here.

Thank you, do you know if the SAF-XJ 75W140 works as well? Does it need a friction modifier?

FM version helps with rear diff chatter.

I've also had good luck with Motul diff. fluid for my Z4M.

have these part numbers/Castrol brand of fluids stayed the same after BMW's switch to Shell?? Or are there new part numbers with shell equivalents of these fluids??

My dealer no longer stocks Castrol products. According to BMW's recommendations, the new oil to use for the differential is the MSP/A oil (same as the F8x M3/4). The part number ends in 961.
