E93 Roof rattles :)

Hey all so this is my second e93, from the 335 to the m3. My 335 had a rattle coming from the prong on the roof that would lock it to the chassis. This time however I'm hearing strange sort of pressure noises coming from where the window meets the roof of the car. If I lower the window slightly the sound is completely eliminated. My mechanic told me theres something that allows you to adjust the height of the roof and that potentially the roof is sitting low.

Hoping someone has had a similar experience and has the fix for it, driving me nuts. Lucky its summer I can just put the roof down but that'll only last a couple months.

Try "gummipflege".
That's a "lubricant / maintenance" liquid for rubber.
Mine was so bad that I thought I have something bouncing behind the door panel lol.
I found that after waxing the car the rubber seals around the doors and roof get kind of sticky and dry.
After getting the rubber "replenished" the noise is completely gone.
There is also on another board somewhere a great write up on how to take care of the "folding miracle" lol

Follow that bimmerfest thread mentioned above. I used Krytox ($25 for a little tube, I got it from Amazon) and ended up using about half of the tube to do all of the seals around the car.

I also ordered the HHS-K mentioned from eBay.

Spent about an hour doing it, but the top is much quieter now.

I used to use gummy pfledge on my e93 and it worked pretty well. Your seals are probably a little dry which is causing the squeaks.
