Need Help locating fuses for steering wheel , etc

The lights for my steering wheel, window switches, and EDC button, and shift knob all went out. I can't locate which fuse(s) control these lights based on BMWs diagram. Can any one here help me?

thanks...

Have you checked the instrument light level as suggested by Fstop7 in your other post?

I don't think it is a fuse issue. Check the instrument lighting as described on page 87 of the owner's manual. If it is a fuse, check 2, 40 and 61.

This is as good a place to ask as any, and hopefully not viewed as a threadjack; where the heck is a layout of the fuses with numbers anyway?

Well considering all of my other instrument lights are working fine, i don't think the lighting level is the issue. I'll check the fuses you suggested and report back.

So I set the instrument lighting to high and I still have no lighting for the steering wheel, shift knob, or window buttons. I also checked the fuses you listed. I don't even have fuses in spots 2 or 40. fuse 61 is fine. Since all these lights worked previously, I don't think it has anything to do with no fuses being in positions 2 or 40, as I am assuming this is how the car came from the factory.

I don't think BMW wants us playing around with the fuses judging from how in depth the owners manual is. The first line is "Never attempt to repair a blown fuse.." Your diagram may be a bit different than my 09.

Is there anything other than the LED lights not working?

Nope only the LEDs are out. Gonna take it in today and see if they are willing to take a quick look without an appointment.

BTW, a 3-yr old could change a fuse so not sure why BMW is so opposed to it.

Got the car back. They got everything working but could not explain why the lights went out to begin with. no blown fuses. they think there might have been a loose connection that they could not locate.
