So I got stuck in the snow this morning..

and one of my neighbours living behind my house comes out to help me. He was carrying a metal shovel and started to hacking snow near my front wheels. I freaked out as I thought the shovel was contacting my rims. I told him to move away and stop and I started shoveling out snow with my own snow shovel. Then I got back in my car and I started driving and this idiotic neighbour dude started shoveling on the side and underneath of my car with his metal shovel when I told him not to help me. I must have told him over 9 times to not help me. I'm sure this guy has a mental problem, but I don't understand why people don't understand the meaning of "NO" Why was I freaked out? Would you get freaked out when someone carrying a metal shovel started hacking and shoveling snow right beside (like centimetres or millimetres) your new car?

I haven't had the chance to inspect all of my car, but just the rims. The temperature outside is too cold. They looked fine but I have a feeling that the false helper might have stratched my bumpers, side, or underneath areas of my car.

West Coast. There's tons of snow. Last week, snow was five feet high after the snow plowers were clearing the roads. Yesterday, I had to deal with extremely severe black ice on the roads too. I was literally driving on an ice rink. It took my car over 30 feet just to stop while drivng at 50kph while slamming on my brakes.

Out of curiosity though, how come you're driving your 335 in the snow? Only car? If not, I'm sure you'd be better off with a cheap 4x4 winter beater.

its a 335...people on here (like myself) drive their M3s in the winter, why wouldn't he drive his 335? with winter tires, it should be pretty good in the snow. ICE is a different story, no tires (unless they have spikes) will help you on ice. But as for snow...??of course he would drive it in the winter, most people do!

No I don't think it's a dumb question. Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. I'm asking the dude why he's driving such a nice car in the snow. You're worse than the U.S jumping on everything for no reason. But you're right my question is dumb, but driving a 70k+ car in a foot of snow instead of something that is meant to handle the snow isn't. Who said anything about winter....SNOW...not winter. He got stuck in snow, he didn't get stuck in winter. Back when I had it, I drove my e46m3 in winter over there, not in a foot of snow, that's just dumb and then you wonder why you're stuck? The cold is cutting the circulation to your brain.

I'm planning on replacing my current daily driver with a 335i. It will be driven all year round, including winters (with snow tires of course).

Well, I would say that 99.8% of the 335 drivers on E90post.com drive their cars through winter...I'd guess that 75% are driving their M3s in the winter. There cars are built in Germany, they're very well aware of what a snowy road is like...so BMW suggests getting snow tires and thats it! The only reason my car isn't ideal in the snow is because my car is lowered and has a front lip...so my car as an example isn't the most ideal M3 to drive in the winter, but a stock or even a lowered M3 with winters is actually pretty decent in the snow! Not excessive snow, 15-20cm + is too much for almost any small cars (thats when a 4x4 or truck is useful).
