Cool ass video. They should consider getting a field correspondent who's not so god damn awkward.

6 more reasons to hate Ben Collins!

Seriously though, nice little comparison video. The 458 makes everything else look so pedestrian.

Pedestrian is the person that believes the 458 was stock.

Well, I was literally referring to the 'look' of the car. To me the 458 is the best looking (i.e. prettiest) car of the bunch. That being said, what makes you think the 458 isn't stock (not challenging you, I just didn't read the full article).

The looks are Outstanding. Google Chris Harris comments on Ferrari test drives for journalists. Very enlightening.

I know this is off-topic, but wow. Chris Harris is one of my favourite car journalists - i'm sure if the article (http://ca.jalopnik.com/5760248/how-ferrari-spins) was published in EVO, we'd never see a test Ferrari again. It's too bad Ferrari go to the extent they do to rig their test cars - I would have still like the 458 if it was 2 seconds slower, but now.... Then again, they're probably not the only ones (just thinking back to original R35 GTR Nurburgring times).

Thanks for the insight cornutodeuce - even if it is a bit deflating.

I agree Ferraris past rigging is dissapointing, but I also do not believe there is much in it between the GT2 and 458? Throw some R compound tires on the Ferrari like the GT2 has and that should wipe out any doctoring Ferrari has done to the vehicle.
I agree with shizzle though. How the hell does the GTR throw up the lap times it does? It is heavy and underpowered compared to these cars, but consistantly betters them in lap time?

I really enjoyed reading Chris Harris' articles prior to him speaking out about Ferrari shenanigans, but after he published that piece, Mega Respect for his intestinal fortitude to speak the truth and face the repercussions of doing so.
Notice that NO other journalists have supported him, at least none that I can find.

Nissan did the same shit with the GT R at the Ring, they even forgot to time a 30 second section to achieve those lap times. Somebody should
Scrutinize all these bogus claims or at least make sure that when a magazine
tests road cars, they are production vehicles.

If you can find someone with a 458 that is up for this track test, I'll bring the GT 2. Unfortunately I'm not sure 458 owners will be up for that.
Especially after they watch this video.

the link wasn't working, so I fixed it. I have to make sure the proper URL is in the Vimeo settings to properly play on various forums.

That being said, I do apologize for passing Steve's buddies, I feel really bad about that, we will discuss why next time we,

I guess they let you pass as they know you need to get your ego stroked thanks to your GT2 purchase and they like to see their car on video

The problem is that I do not think there is a capable 458 driver/owner in Canada who would drive Mosport flat in their car like you are willing to do in your GT2. I just think that if you or anyone else drove your GT2 on cup tires and then drove the 458 on cup tires, I do not think there would be much in it and you would have thuroughly enjoyed driving both vehicles.
