Thoughts on pricing for a 2013 demo M3

My nearest dealer has a demo M3 DCT (sales manager's car) for sale. Key details:
Mineral white
Extended Fox Red
Comp & Prem packages
Heated seats
MSRP = 74,545 before some other goodies added including black kidney grilles and CF rear spoiler
1,200 miles (1,200 mile service was just completed)
Hasn't yet been registered

So far, they’ve been willing to go down to 69,250 but I’m thinking that’s still too high. Truecar has local dealers selling similar priced models for just over $70k but are also brand new. What do you think would be a fair asking price (without getting into a debate about whether to buy a demo, etc.)?
Thanks

That price is way too high IMO. It's basically a used car.

Agreed way too high. Why buy a demo unless you are getting a significant discount? If we are just talking a few thousand $ then you may as well buy a brand new car.

Is that at New Country? If so, I drove that car on a demo ride!

Yes, so did you punish it? They don't seem willing to budge any more on price. They mentioned that there will be 5,000 miles added to the warranty, not that that is a significant factor. I'm not one to get too paranoid about a car being periodically driven hard under break-in. These cars are built strong and meant to be driven hard. But I still think they could go down in price.

I din't beat it badly; I know that ultimately someone else will own the car, and I try to be respectful of that. Having said that, I would think you should be able to get at least $7K off the MSRP. Who's your salesman? Is it Seth?

Yeah, it's Seth - he's a good guy but I don't think he has the ultimate decision making power on price.

They'll eat the dust off that before they sell it at that price. Find a different car.

You are basically getting new car $500-1k over invoice pricing. I think that's high for a demo. Unless its exactly how you want it or you can't wait for an order, I would leave it alone. You should be able to get it at least at invoice and then be able to subtract incentives. It's your choice ultimately, but it's not a great deal.
I will say they can probably find someone to buy it for around $70k; it just won't be an informed buyer. Plus allocations are drying out so that dealer demo goes from looking like a beat on used car to a "new car" when you can't order one anymore. That and the upcoming warm weather are what they are counting on.

Good luck.
