Name your homewtown where you grew up and something your city is known for...

I'm born in raised in Pasadena, Ca (15 miles outside Los Angeles) and my city has:

The Rose bowl, hosts the annual Rose Parade, home of Cal Tech, Steve Urkel went to a high school in Pasadena (Marshall high) and Van Halen went to my high school (Pasadena high).

We also have the best burger spot in the nation, In N Out!

Yea, I'd agree. I'm curious if you've been to that restaurant "Per Se?" I think it's in manhattan. Heard it's like a 9 course meal at $300 a pop and reservations have to be made 2 months in advance.

Newport beach, ca.

"Famous" for the OC and other horrible reality shows - yes, it's a fairly pretentious town. That being said, the beaches are amazing, balboa is pretty cool, it's close to laguna beach, and close to some great driving roads.

I think Kiryas Joel NY actually wins that crown. 89% of the town speaks Yiddish and 2.3% speak Hebrew. 46% don't even speak English.
