No, BMW introduced them as "winter wheels" for the M3. They come as complete set on Michelin snow tires and are only meant for the M3 AFAIK. But that doesn't keep people from mounting them on other cars...

Thooooorgal, there might be a slight problem with the aftermarket winter tyres here in Luxembourg - apparently you can find the right size alloys and tyres no problem, but they do not have the TÜV certificate so you won't be able to pass the MOT (contrôle technique) because you'll need an 'agréation' from Sandweiler if you get something else than approved bmw winter tyres

pfffff, at least that's what we understood from the tyre-dealer in Hollerich and our bmw dealer... apparently it will take another couple of months before the TÜV lists will be available. So, we'll have to go for the heart-breaking 2400 eur winter tyres because we are a bit short of time now. The weatherforecast says SNOW for the end of the week and our car arrives next week! And we are not taking any risks with our new baby

Bastet,

thanks for the information.

But i don't care about the MOT, i will choose aftermarket rims.
I will post as soon as i find something.

As for now, i have found new tyres, Vredestein Xtreme 235/40/18 for EUR 174 / tyre on internet. I still need to look for rims.

I have found aftermarket rims, which look exactely as the OEM bmw winter tyres.

Rim size is 8x18ET20.

Price for the 4 rims is EUR 650.

I can obtain also a package rims + tyres for EUR 1'440.

The tyres used is this package are :
235/40VR18 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2

But the weigth factor is 91 for those tyres, OEM are 95. Is it very important to keep the original 95 weight, or can use also 91 for winter tyres ?

thanks for your input.
