Order

At this point if they can locate a new 09 enroute with your specs, ask for that.
If not get your deposit back and order from someone more competent in placing orders. You can probably beat their deal now. Good luck. I can understand your frustration. Three months isn't a long wait, unless you are the one waiting.

No buddy. These mistakes shouldnt happen when ur buying a 70K car. Sorry to brake it down to u like that. And if I were the seller of that car, Id do whatever I possible could to get him anohter car ASAP, no 3 month wait bullsh!t, not even a 2 week wait. We might be able to work with a week tho.
OP, Eff them get the car u want if not leave and go somewhere, see how fast they call you.

Just to give u small expirience I had with audi. B4 i bought the M3 I had placed an order for a 2009 Audi S5, fully loaded exactly how i wanted it. I had to wait 6 months tho. Fine, it was all good, I still had a lease going on so it was ok. I was supposed to get my car mid November. They had a $10,000 deposit of mine that I had left them when i made the order. Sooooooooo to make it short, end of september I get a call from them saying that they had made a mistake and that my car would arrive in March, thats a 10 month wait when I was supposed to get it in 6. 2000 of that $10000 was supposed to be unrefundable. Well guess what I was at that dealer the next day, didnt give any bs or act up, all I did was kindly ask for my money back without even giving them an explanation. Good thing they didnt say anything about the 2000 non refundable cause then I would have flipped. They wanted to give me a check and i simply said NO, i want cash back, just like i gave u guys. Took them half a day but they got it to me lol. As i left, stopped at the BMW dealer and guess what, they got that 10000 right then and there.

So in the end, Audi did me a huge favour or i would have never been driving this beast. So, u can use this to ur advantage if u want. U just gotta do it the right way.

Good luck

Good to see the "Me first" attitude in the US is alive and well. I hope when you screw up at work somebody sticks it to you.

Hes buying a 70K car, these mistakes shouldnt happen. Especially when he said its happened b4, dont know if from them tho. If I were the one selling that car, I would try my best but seems like he has no clue, and on top of that, he wanted to charge 200 for the satellite on a car that he didnt order . Please keep the dumb remarks to urself next time.

So basically, you ordered the car you want, right? So get the car you want!

Don't get into 'almost' the same car, same price blabla. You don't want the left overs, I assume... Maybe the dealer is screwing you to get the other car sold asap...

Ask for a discount for the late delivery. In March you have a brand new car, in spring, and saved some money you'll spend on mods...!

Here's an update on what's going on. As soon as he gave me the VIN number to the new car I called up BMWNA. They told me the car was ordered on 11/20 went into production on 12/5 and is estimated to complete production on 1/16/2009. I keep all of my emails that I send to the dealer. What pisses me off is that I kept asking him about the status of the car every month since 9/2 and he never could get any info. He placed a completely new order on 11/20 and failed to tell me this in subsequent emails. He didn't tell me until 12/10 that he supposedly coded the order wrong. Not sure why he didn't just fix the coding on the original order, unless he is lying and sold my original order to someone else. He either messed up the coding or sold my original order to someone else for a higher price. Either way, he has hidden the truth and has continued to tell me lies. He has been insulting by trying to make me pay for the Satellite radio option at one point, and has never once apologized for his supposed mistake. He has played it off as if nothing was done wrong. I wrote him an email last night, because I was too pissed to even try talking on the phone. I asked for our agreed price to be dropped $1000 dollars, which would put me at $1000 over invoice, or else I will take my business somewhere else. I do not feel sorry for people like this. People make mistakes, yes, and I am a forgiving person, but he tried to cover it up and play it off. You have to understand where I am coming from as well. My first new car order was also ordered wrong by the same dealership. I also had to wait 6 months just for a dodge dakota pickup truck for this person's mistake, and I didn't get anything extra out of that deal. That guy never told me that he had ordered the car wrong, I had to find this out for myself when I was picking up the car.

Dude. Sounds like too much drama. Easy for me to say but I'd tell the guy and dealership to pack sand. Take your business elsewhere. I don't think $1000 dropped is worth it if it even happens, but that's just me. Hope things work out for you.

that is not acceptable at all. I WOULD NOT TAKE THE CAR ON THE PORT. If you take it, you will always think back and regret getting something u didnt want in the first place. YES people make mistakes but trying to fix it with something that is not even what you want is a slap in the face even when he asked u to pay 200 extra for the satellite radio when U DIDNT EVEN WANT IT. Situations like these make me pissed just by reading it. Im glad I have a good relationship with my local dealership owner and manager or else I will turn my sales guy into a sardine

Kindly ask for your deposit back and tell them you have given them too many chances to correct their problem and report them to the BBB which doesnt really help or do much but building up those complains will eventually cause BBB to do something

Your dealer sucks. Stop dealing with him and go somewhere else. You're going to have to wait, but it sounds like you're going to wait with this guy anyway, so don't give him your service.

my car arrived at the PCD without full leather (which I had ordered).

The salesman admitted to his mistake, and after a bit of negotiation, agreed to let me keep the 08 and order a new 09 with the correct options. Once the 09 came in, the dealer gave me full refund for the 08.

Which stealer is it?

They should give you a loaner or something during the wait and sell the car at the same price. So at least you have some wheels to get around town.

If you don't need the wheels, getting them to throw in some extras might be better for both sides rather than taking $1k off the price. Performance steering wheel maybe???

The Sat radio is no big deal. I got a free 1 yr subscription with my car. But after a bit of time its just like any other radio station. Except without the commericals. I find myself changing channels on my Sat radio often as they play the same songs for a couple weeks. Anyway, I have USP/Ipod thank god.

UPDATE: They finally agreed on discounting the car another $1,000 which will ease the pain of waiting. They told me the BMW factory is shut down for the hollidays and won't be back up and running until around the second week of January. Hopefully it will be one of the first ones to complete production when the assembly line continues.

Nothing is wrong with any of the cars. There is no guarantee your built car wont have a problem. Thats what Lemon laws and warranties are for. Besides that, they can find you one on a dealer lot somewhere and I would demand $5,000 off for you hassle.

Sat radio is the best.
