Driving by my BMW dealer yesterday I couldn't help but notice the Fire Orange BMW in the showroom! Someone grab this thing quick!







The car looks fantastic. I'm surprised BMW went with the bright grill vs. black. I think that I may prefer the traditional bright grill:

I think most of us have seen one by now.
I don't think it's worth the extra $$$ for "Lime Rock." Wish it had more UNIQUE features.
Although, the one at my dealership is 6mt too.. 1/47 or something like that?

The dealership in Roxbury NJ has the Lime Rock edition but it has a black roof, black kidney grills, black carbon fiber looking splitters, and black m359 wheels. Looks really nice. I believe the sticker on it was in the mid 80's after markup.

I wouldn't say just showing up, a Brooklyn dealer near me had one in early October..

But this car is a looker!! But just not worth it IMO, but with the attitude and views NY'ers have... I'm sure it was driven off the lot real quick lol

Yup there is 30 some orange ones around the country. I bet the orange one at my dealer has a birthday there.

One in Roswell GA's dealer too. I think they'll have a hard time shifting it as it stickered in the mid 80s IIRC. New shape it out next year and GT-R etc are not much more.

The biggest mistake a person can make is getting one at a steep discount, and trading it in. My aunt got a E36 M3 lightweight brand-new, as it sat in the showroom for more than a year (BMW's obviously have always been way overpriced). But after about 4 years, she got so tired of having no a/c and no radio she caved-in and got a E46 M3. Imagine if she had only kept it, I mean she was the original owner. Now someone collected it.

so i assume the console sticker on all of these say "One of 200" because another thread someone also saw the "One of 200". i just got back from my local dealer and couldnt believe that i just saw the "One of 200". i guess the "one of 200" means One and not #1

I live in MA and the actual 1 of 200 is at BMW NORWOOD. Getting the very first one I believe is actually worth the money if you are a collector and have the disposable income for it.

Nice looking car, but I have to say I am a bit disappointed with the performance wheel on the vehicle (blue stripe). The thumb bolsters are hardly there and just carries a strange feeling in my hands personally.

My TTRS steering wheel on the other hand is perfect and that is how BMW PERFORMANCE should of moulded these steering from. Great thumb bolsters, thick and feels strong and responsive and a good diameter.

My two cents...

Collectors out there though the 1-200 is in MA..asking 82k and change for it sticker

They made it that way to make all the car special. They don't want a bidding war for the 1st one. So they just make them all 1 of 200.
