I wish they sold the TT-RS in Canada. I agree that the base TT is a bit girly, but the RS variant is just bad ass. period.

both cars are great in my opinion. The M3 is king as we all know but i think we all have to admit that the new TT-rs has come along way from being called the Hairdressers car. It looks very aggressive and drives very well with just a hint of understeer. The power though is astonishing.

powerwise, it gave my PDK cayman S a run for its money

both great cars in my opinion

We we don't have any TT-RS's on this side of the Atlantic, but there are RS4s and RS6s aplenty at the Audi schools both of which I've passed in my mostly stock E36M3...in the rain.

They aren't garbage in the rain if driven properly. A few years back Bill Auberlin in a BMW routinely kicked butt on the Audis racing in the rain. Smoothness is the key. BMWs are also better balanced which improves cornering speeds over the front heavy Audis.

I don't disrespect any Audis (my second favorite German manufacturer). When I passed them on the track it wasn't a race, it was a HPDE. I'm sure part of the equation was that (at the time) I was in a $15,000 car and they were in cars worth well in excess of $50,000 (or more since it was in Canada) so perhaps they weren't pushing hard. Regardless it rained quite hard all day long and I was passing STI's RS4s, an RS6, and S4s all day (cars I shouldn't have been passing). These weren't race drivers.

PS2s don't hurt that equation either. They are an unfair advantage in the rain.

drive according to road condition and you should be fine. atleast i have no issue in my case even with 19 winter in canada.

The quote above and the other things you've said may all be true, but while the Audi TT may be muy macho in Germany, the fact is that in North America, the Audi TT in any form, is fairly rare and is perceived as a "chick car" for whatever reason along with any VW convertible, Miata/MX-5, and Boxter; so, you can type responses until your fingers are worn away, and most people on this board will still make fun. This is a great thread though. There have been some very funny responses.

I was surprised the Subaru Forrester wasn't on the GLBT popularity list, as my impression is that they are a real favorite of butch lesbians.

I personally think PS2 are way over rated. My AD08's perform better in the rain than my stock 18 Ps2. You guys must drive extremely slow! If you think the PS2 is a good track performer in the rain. I can hardly keep my ///M on the nordschleife in the rain on Ps2

That's right...you figured me out. I'm slow. But I still pass AWD cars on the track in the rain.
