It should be more than an hour's labor.
Just make sure they do it properly with a fuse tap. that way there's no issue with the warranty.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I can help you do it in person, if you want....Trust me, it's bloody simple. I wrote a DIY on the process. It's not worth paying for, it's simple. Ask Aurora Bearialis, I ran him through his V1 install.
Well, $35.00 bucks at Best Buy, maybe. http://www.mfestforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5403 If you absolutely must pay for it though, then at least go to Renn-Spec. I trust only three people to touch my car, and Toan at Renn-Spec is one of the three. |

+1 on the easiness of DIY... I have done 3 M3s myself and each took less than 30mins...
But if you really need a shop, rennspec is da shit! |

I have decided that I will be doing the hardwire myself. Its too simple of a job to pay for. iBeJayKaying will be helping me with the install tomorrow (Monday).
If anyone else in the socal area wants to join us tomorrow for some help and guidance, let us know. PM me or iBeJayKaying. |
