Matte grills installed...FINALLY
...pretty easy to take off the OEM grills (although I broke a small piece!)...in my opinion makes a HUGE difference. Next: painted side markers +
- H&R springs (I have EDC) - SSK - aFe drop in filter - HRE Monoblocks in gunmetal - aFe intake scoops - Active Autowerke pulleys - Remus race exhaust - who knows what else....this is like a virus! |

Hey Blake,
What's going on? How are you man? All is good here in Austin....went to Harris Hill Road last week for the first time in my M3....VERY NICE Totally different animal than my Cayman S but I DO appreciate the extra power in the turn outs...tried a few laps in M mode and turned off traction control completely....you definitely have to have a smooth hand when exiting turns but it is incredibly fun and the car turns and brakes very well. I have a video but I don't know how to post it! Lets plan another meet in Austin and then we can maybe go to the track? I am leaving to Peru December 2nd for a month...lets keep in touch. Cheers |

I'm seriously on the fence with these matte black grills. I have a space grey car and don't think it would look good on my colour. Looks great on your white though.

I was totally on the fence about putting that on my white M as well but that looks sleek. Nice.

Quality of Matte Black Grills
I've got an alpine white coupe.
I think the black grills look very cool. My questions: Where did you get them? Are there mulitple sources / types i.e. are they all coming from the same place or are there good ones vs. cheap ones? And what is the quality like? Do they fit well, are they at least as good at the OEM grills, and are they created from matte black plastic OR does someone buy factory chrome grills and then coat them black? If the latter were the case they would eventually start to chip and look nasty. I've done many modifications to cars in the past and I have also sent MANY parts back when I realized they were of inferior quality. If these are OEM quality or better, that's cool. If not, I'll stick with the chrome. Thanks for any input or references. AC |

Sorry for the delay. I got mine at Turner Motorsports. PERFECT fit. Paid $98 shipping included, although I believe you can get them a bit cheaper from other vendors. I decided to go with Turner since they have a great reputation. Quality is same as OEM. Hope this helps. Cheers |

So was it easy to remove and install the new grills? Can you post a DIY? Thanks.
