Guys I'm placing my order on Monday and I thought I knew the color I want until today, I'm not planning to get an individual color.
I am going back and forth on the SS metallic exterior with fox red interior but I looked at many pictures online and the fox red looks really bright. I test drove a mineral white with black interior which I liked and it made me confused. Anyone here with SS metallic and red interior combo. What do you guys recommend as far as color combo off the bmwna website?

I'm not the biggest fan of silver.. To me it's a "pretty" color and lacks the aggression of other colors you can get on the M3.
I think Mineral White and Fox Red is a match made in heaven and the red won't be as bright as you're thinking. What are you leaning towards right now? |

I may be biased but I think SSII is M perfect. Why you ask........it's just like the car......2 different personalities. Depending on the weather conditions SSII looks like a different color from day to day ...................Phil

Fox red is not bright. Photos do not give a good representation of what fox red looks like.

If you like the Fox Red but do not want to go crazy, they make a Fox Red and Black combo that is nice. I have seen them both. To me the Fox Red is just to much. The Fox Red and Black was more mellow. For me I went AW with Blk as I was not crazy about any of the other colors but black.

The silver has a bluish hue to it, and the fox red has a bit of an orange hue to it. There is a reason it is called fox red. To me, this combo looks really bad as a result. I actually saw it on an M5 a few years back. It was sitting on a dealer lot and had 2000 miles on it. Apparently the owner had ordered this color combo sight unseen, and after seeing it in person on delivery, he just couldn't keep the car. I think fox red looks best with black or alpine white. Silverstone is best with silver or black interior. The silver/black, like in the pic above looks really nice and would be the way to go. Just my opinion, of course.

I had an Alpine White with Fox Red interior I loved it, only the car was basic ... I now have a Alpine White with Black interior the car has all the options I was looking for ... I do wish I would have found one with the Fox Red interior ... then one cannot have everything if one picks up a car from the dealer lot.
You have the choice to get what you desire AW and FR is a great combination.

For God's sake please don't get Alpine White, so many out there... Sure, it's pretty but more than half the M3's are Alpine White.

An article in a past BMW Roundel stated White to be the predominant exterior colour ... silver is a thing of the past ... so the article said your exterior with Fox read should also look sharp perhaps post some pictures or a link to your pictures?

Now if I had seen Koop's Azurite Black/Rust Brown, he and I would have twins (mine in the E90 flavor of course). Point is, its normal. Just take your time and the color will come to you. You can even change after ordering I think until like the week of production. Im not sure though, double check on that...
