2 more needed for group buy. Putting this here in case some of you may benefit from the pan. Dogbone shares feedback relevant to track stars in the thread.

I recall the anondized version was $100 more. So full list price delivered was around $1300. The 10 person group buy anondized is $850 delivered. Pretty solid discount off of list.

people complained that he had disappeared and stolen their money. So the mods froze his accounts
Good work people https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1650114 Personally I hope Slonik stops building things for the forum. A bunch of whiney little kids who freak out when something takes longer than expected to arrive. There have been like 4 threads of people whining and freakin out.

A bunch of people giving Slonik thousands of dollars each and him not providing updates after several requests isn't whining. They had legitimate concerns that could have been very easily addressed. Nobody is so short on time that they can't spare 2 minutes to write an update to their customers asking for one. That's just inconsiderate. |

His logistical and forum etiquette may not be exactly what people want, but in my opinion, the quality and creativity of his products more than make up for it. I Skyped with him awhile back and he was sending pix of other things he had created. I have no problem saying they were FANTASTIC. Amazing stuff. I had shipping issues with my DCT pan because he wrote the address wrong, so I know his logistics could improve, but like I said, his products are well thought out and very effective. I’m at Buttonwillow right now, and I’m loving that my DCT is shifting reliably because of his pan!!!! The shipping issues I had are long in the past. |

If Slon just had a US based distributor and was willing to invest a little in inventory all issues would be solved. deansbimmer collaboration idea!
Hoping to have his parts on my car one day.

As I mentioned before, I've Skype-texted with the owner. He's a very nice guy. Really impressed with his other work.

Trying to find out the install info.. I remember reading about how many extra liters to add..think it was 1.8L with a GTS tune. Also don't remember and can't find what to use for a gasket..stock (which I thought was an issue due to temps) or Gasket Sealant and which one.
Anyone know? |

-You need to buy Loctite 574 (Gasket Maker) - a single 50mL tube is capable of doing several pans. It looks very liquidy....more than you'd think. Takes an hour to set. (The first time I looked for it, Amazon didn't have it on Prime, but then a couple days later I looked again, and it was available via Prime. Got it next day.) -The torque spec for the 14 pan bolts is 9 Nm (6.6 ft/lbs) -Fill the trans normally until the fluid starts backing up. Then, lower the car to the floor. Jack it up as high as you can on the right side and add 1 more liter of trans fluid with the car sitting at an angle. For some pictures and other comments, check out this page of my build thread here. Posts #711, 714 and 715: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=23077417

Question about using loctite 574, I placed a bead in the channel on the pan and installed. A small amount comes out as the surfaces are torqued together. I'm curious as to what happens to any sealant 574 that winds up on the inside? From what I've read, it will not harden due to being anaerobic.
Also, is there a better way to apply 574 to the pan? Video I saw after the fact showed porsche techs rolling it onto a flat surface with a roller. Some possibility exists that liquid get in the sump side when pressed together... Curious to hear how others applied this as there arent clear instructions for the pan install.
