I do professional work on product identity and character from a product development perspective (although my comments were aimed at the video and not at the product). No, I am not a videographer, but I don't need to be. Just check out the GT3 videos on the Porsche website (with the note that those are embedded in an interactive website as opposed to stand alone clips), and the differences are like night and day--at least to me.

As I said, BMW has done much better than these GTS videos (I am assuming they were released by BMW).

The second vid South posted is better than the first one. I don't like the first one at all--it could have been filmed by anyone on this forum.

The GT3 vids directly attempt to put you in the driver seat and give you a sense of the experience--especially the RS video. You actually do a lap in the car. The first GTS vid keeps on doing things like zooming in and out of the car and panning at still scenes.

Those slow-mo shots in the second video were AMAZING!!! Did you see the bug jump up in front of the car at about 3:20? It would have been great to let the video roll on there so we could see it "splat"!

The super slow-mo burnout was very cool - I watched that about 10 times...

You see...this is what I was trying to say earlier.

The minute a dealer starts "accepting deposits", people automatically start assuming things.

Dealers will accept a deposit on any potential model that BMW might offer in the future, whether that is based on factual information or random speculation.

I know a few dealers (Brian Jessel in Vancouver for example) who took deposits on the "M3 Edition" cars that came out this past summer.

Did that ever materialize?

NO, it didn't.

Even if an authorized BMW dealer is accepting deposits, it doesn't mean anything guys...

i found the videos uneventful to say the least, needed some good twisty roads shown and driven them decently or atleast given it a good run on the track, half the videos cut out mid/late corner while there was another corner directly after, no real combinations

and if you seen the new porsche turbo video it blows this one to peices
