That's the number Mike Benvo gave me today (I think that's the exact number) when we were getting my car coded to Euro MDM and other goodies.

92000 miles - 50,000 of them put on by me in the last year - and at least one track day on the car. Going to Thunderhill in a few weeks to test out this stage 2 tune and Akrapovic Evolution exhaust!! Next step: intake + pulley?!

Maybe I should change out my rod bearings on a yearly schedule? Haha. Life is too short to not enjoy driving this wonderful car. Yes, it's expensive to run but you have to pay to play, and this car is a bargain used.

Congrats? I drive the shit out of my car every chance I get, but I doubt I've exceeded 500 redlines in my ~7k miles of driving.

Realities of Bay Area living - I didn't live here in the 90s so buying a nice house near where I work that isn't in the dumps called East Palo Alto or Oakland would cost me 7-8k in mortgage payments a month - after putting down 20%. Solution is to live farther away and drive much nicer cars.

That is an incredible statistic. I mean it. I can't even believe it. That's 343/month, or about 10 or 12 redlines a day, which is to say, every time you drive it I guess.

I'm not sure I've ever hit 8k, although I haven't had my car that long, but if i were keeping up with you I'd need about 750 pulls to 8k by now. I'd be in jail.

Number of times redlined: 4126 <---is this the record to beat? LOL

Does it count if you rev it to 8350rpm? How does the ECU discern I wonder.

Well, if you are tracking the car, you will make 1 or 2 redline shifts every straight, or maybe 15 or so every 2 minutes around an 11 turn track.

or over 200 a session and maybe 800 or more a day.

Now that would be near redline shifts, not overages, which with me would be maybe once a day at the track

I've added quite a few 8600+ rpm red lines to that since Tuesday, haha. The wheel chirps are crazy!

DCT car so you are just putting your foot on the floor and keeping it there? If this is a 6MT and you are shifting it, I am impressed.

Congrats OP that's badass. I drive this way but I live in a remote area of South OC with no traffic and laser/radar. Be safe

You drive like I do. On ramps are just mini drag strips. :-)

Long open roads are just runways so I can bounce off the speed limiter at 155👍

I put 20% down but my payments are $1800 and I bought 6 months ago. My place is right off hwy 17, Lexington Hills (Los Gatos zip code). My commute is only 50 miles round trip.

oh and Im on a third of an acre. I did however got SUPER lucky and swooped the place. The guy was an ding dong and failed to flip the place correctly.

That many redlines and up to 92K miles is very impressive. Shows you what a masterpiece of engineering this engine really is. Everything eventually breaks, some sooner than others. But for any engine to be able to take this kind of repeated abuse for that long is astounding.

This is the post of the month IMO. Incredible. Has anything broken? Does your car burn oil b/t changes? Do u run the recommended oil? I can't believe there aren't 50 replies asking about Blackstone reports. I pay little attention to r bearing threads, but I'll be the dick who asks: have you changed them?

Also, you may be at risk of wearing through your gas pedal.
