Gintani M3 6MT VS. 2015 Viper TA

Had a chance to line up with a 2015 Viper TA which was bone stock, really fast car out the factory. I wanted to know how my M3 would stand against one. The mods on my car are listed below. Enjoy guys!

Yup he let off. Blower manual cars will fucking nosedive if you let off lol

OP, any cooling mods done (for the ic unit, like a trunk unit, etc)?

Thanks for sharing OP!

Did you do any other runs? The one in the video looks like there was some miscommunication at the start. It looks like he jumped... then let off... then you went... and he was caught cruising and never could catch up.

Also, how comfortable is he in that car? You were able to pull further away every time he shifted which leads me to believe he's not fully comfortable with the shifter in the car or your shifting is just far superior to his.

What did the end of the dig race look like? He obviously was ahead but by how much? Were you catching him?

Anyway, thanks for posting! Always fun to watch these types of videos, win or lose!

Nope not yet, I did purchase a 2.5 gallon ice tank that I have not installed yet. The mod list is listed above.

Hey, we did 1st gear rolls which the M3 won all the time and the dig runs he won and I did not end up closing the gap on the dig runs it that car has serious top end power. I would say he was ahead by a full car on the dig runs. I am 6'0 and I sat in the viper and it was extremely tight for me the owner of the viper isn't that tall so I could imagine it would be better for him. I have some more videos VS. some 600s and such but it isn't close at all haha. I will continue to post more as I edit them. Enjoy guys!

You got any data/info or writeups about installing one of those? I'm looking at doing a 5gal myself but don't want to be ignorantly hacking up the car to run the lines if there's a better or more proven way of doing things.

I just bought a 5 gal kit from Powerhaus Performance (member M33too) and we all know his M3 is crazy fast. The kit is complete including all hoses, fittings and a drain so you don't need to buy anything else. I haven't received it yet but when I get it, we can ask about install if we have any questions since it's the same kit M33too is currently using.

Nice run OP. Those Vipers are seriously fast. Your car is running strong way to represent blown M3's.

I have not got around to install yet, a friend of mine who is a tech at BMW will be doing the install for me. I could probably snap a few photos during the process. I didn't know Powerhaus was actually selling the kit before I bought mine but my reservoir is only 2.5 gallons oppose to the 5 gallon kit they offer. I suppose the 2.5 gallon will have the same effect it will just need to be filled up quicker than the 5 gallon. My kit did not come with any hardware so I will have to purchase the water lines and fittings on my own.

M3too seems to be running 10psi stock motor with out meth and he hasn't had any hiccups. First thing on my list is getting this ice tank installled to keep IATs down then I will move forward.

I've pulled a ZX6R in my M3 too, was shocked as hell. Past 120 those things fall off, I was inching on him, if that, that prior though.

Yeah I've raced a couple did a 40 roll, 60 roll and even a dig run and my M3 still pulled. I had also ran a Kawasaki 636 off a roll now that was one of the best races I've had.

nice! I am running the Alchy meth kit at 8.5lbs and the car is a beast. You will love it. I just got ARH headers so waiting to get those installed next week then going to have Alex retune it. Wow! 10psi is no joke lol AND on stock motor? Maybe I should crank it up a notch too
