Damn weather.
Raining non-stop around these parts.

I hope you're joking about not being fully covered. With a car like this you need full coverage or you are out of a lot of $$$$$.

what insurance company do you have? you would think that full coverage is mandatory for new cars

If you read the enitre thread and you comprehended it then you would have read that his DSC was on. You said that he should have kept it on...

Because it sounds like rubbish. M3's can make turns in the rain going 30-40mph. I do it all the time with my DSC on.

wow!
that looks pretty bad...
but...WTF were you thinking not putting full coverage on a 50k+ car ?

At first, I thought okay cool. he is eating pizza coz hes not that worried, car will be written off and he will get a new one. But NOW...knowing it isn't covered and you just lost 50k+... I wouldnt be eating no pizza. (does look good though)

if he was riding during one of the torrential downpours we have been having in the east coast, then it would be so easy to hydroplane with the big fat tires our cars have.... who knows unless he gives more detail

Had to be a hydroplane situation because if DSC was on it is really nearly impossible to spin the car at low to moderate speeds. At the BMW PC they put you on the wet skidpad, and have you floor the car. It will NOT break loose no matter what.

full coverage is not required if the car is paid off.
This is seriously painful week 4 u bro. I am really sorry. let me know if there is anything we can do to help. Even if my car is fully paid off, I would always carry full coverage as it would be cheaper to pay premium than to suck it up if something like this happens. Also what if someone hits u and they have no insurance. I am extremely sorry that this happened, but really glad u r okay.

Hit me up, if there is anything i can do to help.

I know that road and that's a pretty tight corner to be taking at 30-40mph, you can do it in the dry but wet..... the results are clear. I am glad you are ok man. Yea if the car is totaled I would say part it out but you are not going to get anywhere close to getting any substantial money back. Salvage the car and sell it at auction. DSC does not alter the laws of physics.

How fast were you going? I had 2 days of M school in a torrential downpour driving at the limits and managed to keep the car in check still(in DSC on / MDM mode, a different story for DSC off)

hmm do we see a trend forming.... VA M owners wrecking their cars. Guys drive safe out there! VA also has some of the toughest traffic laws and huge fines to boot, whenever I cross the american legion bridge into to VA I drop down to 10 to 15 max over the 55 limit. As cloud suggests take a M course at least to learn the limits of your cars. The m3's are really high but once you cross them and don't know how to correct it will jump up and bite you.
