Best TV for gaming/all around under $1,000 bucks!
Hey Guys,
I was looking, haven't been in the tv game for a while now. Would really appreciate the help if you guys/gals had some time. Anyways, with the recent release of GT5 and COD I want to purchase a bigger television then my 6 year old 720 Panasonic 42" Plasma TV. I want something that will display the colors real nice, bright, and smooth but not effect the longevity of the television with bang for buck. Also, I'm graduating soon so I plan on playing games to relieve some stress as I did not have the chance to play video games for about 4 years now with school and work lol... I've been eyeing this Samsung N50C590 50-Inch 1080p : http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN50C5...976562&sr=1-39 If I can find out for less than $800 even better. What do you guys think? Any cyber monday deals? Thanks in advanced! |

check out www.newegg.com
I think plasmas are more prone to burn-in if you leave the same picture up for a long time....pause a video/game. |

It's very nice GT5 looks great on it. Though I'd like to get a 240hz... You can't really go wrong with Samsung or Plasma also, regarding burn in on a plasma..'over a year' is nothing... he had his previous one for 6 years. So... you can't really compared lol Sony Bravia are amazing. Look on craigslist for some used TVs since you're on a budget. you can sometimes find some nice deals

They still burn in. Not as fast as older models but they still can get ruined.

so would you guys go with LED instead? I just like the beautiful colors of a plasma tv. It seems much nicer then LCD. How about the 46" samsung UN46C6400 edge lit led lcd 1080p 120hz for $1000? I read an article on yahoo that says plasma's should drop another $150 until the end of december. I may wait it out, not in a rush

I was in the market recently for a new tv and ended up with a samsung 63" plasma. Let me tell you, the picture with a blu-ray disc is nothing short of amazing.

Very legit reasoning I've seen small stores also advertise on there too They're not as big as Best Buy and them but they can usually undercut them due to less overhead I'm personally a LED guy I used to have a Plasma Actually, we still have it it was only 1080i though I just love the picture on my Samsung LED I've adjusted the settings a bit Why not go to Best Buy or something and see which one is clearer/better?

You can do all that youtube, pandora, twitter streaming via BD player I believe. I haven't hooked all that up yet since I recently just got it. Found the PN58C550 model for under $1500 http://www.eastcoasttvs.com/index.ph...-pn58c550.html |
