i feel your pain. Same thing happened to me except I was playing soccer. Went to kick the ball and foot stuck on ball and whole foot did a 360 on top of ball. I almost died in pain. Took 2+ months to fully get better. GOod luck friend~

Upon getting my separation/disability physical from the Marine Corps as my EAS was coming up, the doctor informed me that my ATFL was holding on by a shred, probably due to my tendency to roll my ankle all the damn time. I sprained it a lot.

Anyway, before you CSB me, that prompted me to ask the doctor what happens if it tears the rest of the way, or if I would have to have surgery to repair or replace it.

His reply: "You'll still have three ligaments left in your ankle. You'll be fine."
