Mine is not installed yet...... I'll take a picture of my part number on the mufflers for confirmation. Give me a few minutes and I'll post my findings.

Well..... I can't seem to be able to get the pictures up, something is up with my photoshare account. Anyhow my AKRA E90 mufflers say BME92H on them and my mufflers do indeed have the shorter tailpipes!

So it seems as though all mufflers regardless of E90/2/3 say BME92H and that clearly the E90 tail pipes are shorter, hence less play in setting them.

Sorry to revive an old thread.
just got my Akrapovic slip on and it has the BME92H part number on both the mufflers and the tips, but is definitely the e90 system. (judging by the pictures and the box) The tips stick out a little more than the e92 system does, but it does not look weird (and I know what looks weird, I've had an e92 system on my car it looked silly) I like the akrapovic, but if you have an e90, don't expect to tuck the tips underneath the bumper. (btw, can't wait for the Akrym e90 diffuser!) |

kitw, you're right. I just had it installed poorly and on the third attempt the guys at Auto Talent nailed it!
Alos looking forward to seeing the Akrym E90 diffuser!

Any idea what they did? Did they slide the tips in more or reposition the whole thing? Got some pictures? Here is what mine looks like: (I think in the last picture, this is the only angle in which they look like they stick out a little too much. I think a rear diffuser will make this look better) |

Seriously, I actually thought that was my car for a sec, mine looks the EXACT same. It only bothers me from that first pic, you can see it is not flush all the way on the sides. I don't mind the few milimeters or so it sticks out when looking from above, kind of like seeing the logo.

I just switched over to the Akrapovic Evolution midpipes. I am starting to think that on the e90, the little adaptors for the stock exhaust joint make it stick out more than Akrapovic intended. My tips came in almost an inch when I switched to the full Evolution system.
They are now just about flush with the bumper. |

I think that looks pretty good. I can take a pic of my car later (just rear section) and it looked like your originally did before the midpipes.

The way the Akra sits on the E90 is partly because of the short rear overhang. I ended adding a Vorsteiner diffuser to complete the look.

Yeah, I think the e90 really needs a rear diffuser. Even though the tips are further tucked in, I think the diffuser would make it look even better. |

You can adjust them to stick just enough, and when the system warms up, they actually stick out more, so it looks perfect.
