MAMADUB's exterior detail - Pics Inside

I am not a professional detailer, more of a hobbyist. Mamadub had asked me to do a detail of her car and I agreed to do so. Forgive me for the horrible photography they do not do the car justice and I am absolutely horrible with a DSLR, but here are some before / after pics.

Products used:

Meguairs Super Soap
SM Arnold Speedy Surface Prep Towel
Gilmour Foam Gun
Griots Speed Shine
Megs 105 for Compounding
Menzerna Power Finish for Polishing
Menzerna 85rd for LSP
P21S 100% Carnauba Wax
Meguiars G100 DA
Makita 9227c Rotary
Various LC Pads
Fenix TK11
Brinkmann Dual Xenon
Dual 500w Halogens

Darren really did such a great job. My car looks so fantastic now, that I don't even want to take it out of the garage. Please forgive the real dirty before pix, as I didn't wash it after the run because I knew Darren was going to detail it.

Also, please notice Darren also installed my first mods. I got the gloss grills and the painted reflectors. I love the look and I am ready to order a few more goodies from Jesel at IND. Thanks to Philip for getting me in touch with Jesel!

Roughly 14 hours, 85% of the work was with the DA. I haven't mastered the rotary. Wasn't comfortable enough to use it efficiently.

Damn, it looks so good! Great Job! I was reading the least of items, I don't even know what they all do. I only use one thing "soap". I think it has wax in it. Oh my poor car!

Haha! OMG, you sound just like me...hence the reason Darren is my "go to" guy for all my car needs. When he was polishing the wheels, I actually had a pad and pen in my hand writing down his answers to all my detailing questions. I will be placing some detailing orders today with several different companies.

Glowing it was! Seriously looks better than the day I got it....except for the damned chips in the paint from that disastrous run I went on!

Do you have a V1 mounted right in the middle of your front windshield?

Haha, Darren, we must have posted at the same time. Okay, do you all see why I like Darren so much? He really helps me out a lot with my car...even suggests mods for me. I owe him and his adorable wife a dinner!!

Just wondering. I've got mine above the rear view mirror.
Doesn't that obstruct your line of sight?

Actually, people have told me to move mine up for better results, but then I have a hard time seeing the arrows. It really doesn't bother me at all where it is. Are you always able to see the arrows with yours above the rear view mirror?

Yeah with just a glance like when you check your mirror.

Another option is to use the "concealed display" to put the arrows on your dash or wherever you'd like. But if middle windscreen doesn't bother you, no worries.

Just don't turn the volume down, ever. You can press the button once to silent it for a couple of minutes if you're going through an area with those stupid speed signs. I use the audio more than I use the arrows, but right next to the rear view is great, it's a natural and easy spot to look at while driving.... at least for some of us... I've watched Stefanie nearly run a few people off the road for 1.) not checking the mirror 2.) not looking over her shoulder - sigh. I'll admit, she's a decent driver most of the time.

Haha Darren...does she know how you feel? I'll try moving it up again and see if I can get used to it. I always keep the volume up to the max!
