I am totally pissed about this! Do you think there is anyway possible to get the euro seat bottoms from the factory? I am little! They look so bland without the revision! WTF
BMW, You suck for this.

Thats horrible. I really loved those seats. I thought they would make it to the US too.

I'm going to email BMW and see what kind of story they come up with.

I think everyone should call/email and make a big stink about it. I wonder if they are trying to cut costs or not. Not everyone in america is a fatass.

I sent two emails out today to BMW complaining about this. I'm going to bitch about this until I get the Euro bottoms.

Went to BMW welt in Munich
The German spec test car I drove last week had the split bottoms, I have an American butt and legs, I found the upper part "MUCH" more supportive than
in my wifes 335 E93 ZSP I did notice a difference between the bottoms. The M3s at the Nurburgring had the split seats as well. I again felt the Upper seats as very supportive, the bottoms on my wifes car felt fine on the way home but not as tight as the German Bottoms I will also ask for Euro seat bottoms, however I will not pay the Euro price the Euro car stickered in Germany for $88K Euro = $129K USD

I never knew they had a different base for the US market compared to the European market.
Is it a width thing, not wanting to offend anyone but is it a case that in general the US ass is big or something. I find all of this extremely funny. |

Stinky, according to this pic from the Toronto show, it looks like Canadians have the same fat ass disease as our American neighbours. I agree with everyone else, that really pisses me off. The interior is low key enough without the blah seat bottoms.

Argh ! I read that training material months ago, and noticed the seat difference comment. It bugged me back then ... but then I forgot all about it :-) Thanks for reminding me about this and showing me the difference. Very disappointing.

It might be possible to order the non-US bottom foam and upholstery and have it retrofitted. Not inexpensive, though.

I knew there was a reason why there's a +85.000euro (+125.000USD) amount mentioned on my order.
Must be pretty expensive foam considering the differences I can see with the US price list. P. |

I drove a euro spec M3 in Germany and I noticed immediately that the seats were very comfortable and snug. However, and yes I would love these seats over here, while driving I was thinking are they okay for the average American? I guess BMW has come to the conclusion that the answer is NO!

Does anyone have a link for the PDF version of the U.S. brochure? Not the Euro brochure stickied at the top of the page. I want to see if the Euro seats are in there.
