Nice driving! That's such an incredible track.

Brilliant driving habibi!! The side color reminds me of Yas Marina where I would track my Euro E36...

Cheers,

2008 BMW E92 M3  [0.00]
Car: E92 M3; 6 speed manual
Track/Course: Buttonwillow Raceway CW13
Best Lap Time Session 1: 2:05.120 (with traffic)
Brake Pads: Stoptech pads with Stoptech BBK
Tires (Size & Model): Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/35/19 front; 265/35/19 rear
Suspension: stock suspension with 220M wheels
Other Mods: K&N Drop in Filter, M Performance Exhaust, Macht Schnell Bypass Track Pipes and Underdrive Pulleys

5th time on a track on the same set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires as my 4th time on track.

This was my first session of the day and it turned out to be the only dry session of the day. During this time I was trying to explore the Stoptech BBK’s performance while warming up the tires. On Lap 20 (not really the 20th lap, just HLT's counter) I got a 2:05.51 despite being trapped behind an E30 on cotton corners, which was still better than the best, clean lap of the day on my last track day on my stock car, where I got a 2:05.77.

Harry’s Lap Timer said that my virtual best for that session was 2:02.66, so I probably would have gotten that time if Lap 20 was clean. I’ll have to see later in the year if I can get a clean, dry lap.

I was able to get an clean lap in session 2, but it just started to rain. I was able to get a 2:04.1 there. I'll be posting that session later.

Thanks to M3 Number 86 for the gauge template!

haha thanks- My dad is still in the 2:10s. Stephen is creeping up on me, though. He got 2:05 in the wet, 2nd session while I got 2:04. He's on an OE tire, too. We're trying to set fast times for OE tires

On Session 2 I was able get a few clean laps, but unfortunately it started to rain during the start of the session. This was my first time driving on a wet track, and I found out quickly that I couldn’t use any throttle on any of the berms. I was still happy I was able to get 2:04s in both my clean laps (laps 26 and 27).

On Session 3 I went into the dirt at the sweeper after my first lap. After pitting I realized that my left front tire was dead. I’m now glad I didn’t run that full session and pop a tire on track, and I’ll need to take closer watch of my tires in between sessions moving forward.

Thanks! I'm waiting to see what I can get w/ a clean lap first. We'll see...

I'm running the full Stoptech BBK.

Don't waste time with oe tires. It's just a little waste of money. Get some track wheels and good to go.

I only go to the track 2-3 times a year. If I start going more often I'll probably consider it. In the meantime I still see some holes I can improve upon-

My M3 was identical to my 997S in terms of pulling power until 100ish after which it would gain marginally. I installed Turner test pipes, got the Epic Motorsports tune, pulley and drop in AE filter. It blows the door of the 911 and 'identical' to a 991S all the way till 120MPH.

Long and short, you need to wake the motor up. Real game changer! No more frustrations on the straight

Wow that's a good increase. I can def feel putting full catless exhaust system. Maybe need a tune and pulleys. I'm trying to stay away from tunes though in case Bmw Na wants to use that as an excuse.

After blowing through my warranty AND my extended warranty up to 92k miles, it was incredibly freeing being able to tune the car the way I wanted. I have less worry of my rod bearings blowing up the car now more than ever. Of course, watch me spin a bearing this weekend at ACS

Thanks a lot for pushing me to do what i was planning to do but with afa instead of AE filter! Great feedback
That was my plan after the RD sport Anti-sway bars and TMS solid SF and diff. bushings which I'm about to order

Do you guys get any additional noise out of the carbon drive shaft? I'm especially curious if you experienced any noise with the carbon shaft and solid subframe and diff bushings.
