What would you do? Opinions on 2 tire options

So I have to replace the two 19-inch rear tires on my 08 e92 M3 (long story, if you want to know happened, do a search on my past posts).

I went to tire rack and seem to have two choices to go with, and would love to get some thoughts from fellow members.

My choices:

a. I can just replace the two back rear tires with the same Michelin PS2s for $850.00

or

b. Buy a new set of Continental ExtremeContact DWs for $942.00

Thank you in advance for your thoughts/opinions.

unless your fronts are more than half way done, I'd suggest getting new rear PS2s.

I'm using these right now on my 18s

On the street, I'm very happy with them, but they could use more grip in the wet/tight cornering

I tracked on them last week and it drizzled and it wasn't exactly sliding around, but it was planted either.

you are getting 4 tires for 942 vs 2 tires for 850.

you can keep your current PS2s as spares

I haven't driven on PS2s in years so I can't comment on them; though when I had them back on my Merc and Porsche I did love them.

This is how I would also decide. If the fronts may need to be changed within six months time, than it might be more prudent to get the full set of Contis.
