Meth Kit

So I'm thinking about adding a meth kit to my 08 e93 M3 looking at Vishnu and snow was wondering what people thought of these kits or if they recommended another one. PS I'm also in the market for a ECU thats kind of why I'm leaning towards Vishnu and get the whole package. Any thoughts?

Right now the only Meth kit you can add to the M3 is the Vishnu. If you try to just add a na Snow kit, the factory tune freaks out. ( dont ask me why i know this ) The Vishnu kit is so well integrated that it really is the best choice. It has safe measures, can clear DME codes, will get rid of CE light if catless and it makes great power. Not to mention, its plug and play!

I agree with all of the above regarding vishnu/meth and have mine ready to be installed soon. I just don't love the idea of having a 75/25 mix or better in my windshield wiper bottle. No biggie though, simple solution is to use a traditional trunk setup if you're uncomfortable, so I went to mac auto yesterday to get something figured out.

TMR- are you running your vishnu/meth with the stock x-pipe?

I also have the Vishnu Procede/Meth combo. The delivery is the best. Sprays when you need it, not when you don't. All integrated with the CANbus. Plug and play, easily removed, and updates are free.

Did you see alot of gains with that setup? I'm just wanting to start modding my M3 and right now looking for the biggest bang for my buck; would you recommend this as a first mod?

Biggest bang for the buck is a catless x-pipe if you can find a used one for under $1000. Get one with resonators unless you are young and trying to attract attention.

A used pulley is also good bang for the buck. As is a drop in air filter.

Tunes add refinement and give you some options like a higher redline or a coldstart delete or a rear 02 readiness fix for catless operation, but don't add dramatic power. Typically, they add upper rpm power, in the range of 10 rwhp.

The only exception seems to be the meth tune that allows timing to be increased at lower rpm. It adds power across the rpm range and more than a non-meth tune. I think it has the potential to add 20 rwhp. The downside is that it costs twice as much as a non-meth tune.

I went from 363 ( with a tune and magnaflow exhast ) to 402 with proceed, meth and magnaflow exhaust. My math is not right but thats more than 20whp.

I agree the catless X-pipe is the best bang for the buck on this car. That comes at the cost of the SES light and emission issues if you worry about that kind of stuff. A tune (whether it's Vishnu's Procede, ESS, Evolve, whatever) will clear the code and tune the car for the x-pipe or whatever other mods you add (it's not just simple math of adding one mod + another+ another). I live in El Paso where heat is definitely an issue. The meth keeps things nice and cool and I haven't started to lose any teeth or hair yet.

I went from 316 to 365 with catless X-pipe, Vishnu Procede, and meth. Since that dyno I changed up the back half of my exhaust from AE to AA signature to match my AA X pipe, RE accessory pulleys, and AFE Stage 2 intake.

I just saw that you have an 08 E93 M3. The biggest bang for the buck could potentially be a software update to 231E if you haven't had one in a while or ever. I have mine scheduled with BMW on Tuesday. Worth a shot.

I have the technocraft intake. You will need to reflash your car back to stock. Meth flows only when you load the motor up. So i can go to 7krpm and no meth if i light throttle it. But if i give it gas hard, it will flow meth ( blinkers go solid the whole time meth is flowing ) I'll try to take a video.

The blinker/hazards only light up on the dash, not outside.
