According to Evan@Tischer, this is a Euro part and we can't order it. Anyone know of a way to order Euro parts?

Ummm... then why the P/N and price shows at TisherBMW, UnitedBMW and ECSTuning? Normally, if a P/N shows on any of those sites then it will be an USA part, and it could be ordered.

It looks like it could be a fluke in the USA database, although the alarm being only an Euro part is absurd to me.

In the worst case, Rover Active on eBay can get you any Euro BMW part... but you will pay dearly.

I'll try Rover Active.

$349.95 from Rover Active and I've attached the updated instructions they gave me(for E90 and E92).

No, I ordered it and he says I'll get it in 1-2 weeks. So we'll see.
http://www.ecstuning.com has it for the same price and their site says "ships in 1-3 days". Don't know how accurate that is. I just found that out, otherwise I would've ordered from them.

ECS Tuning uses the same OEM parts database as United and Tischer BMW, that's it.

I meant that I don't know how accurate their "ships in 1-3 days" is. Since rover told me 1-2 weeks.

I agree this seems like a reasonable price. However, it is the 8hr installation flat-rate listed in the pdf that scares me. That means total cost of over $1k for the E92 right?

I suppose so if you let the dealer install. Does your M3 need the headliner modification (or replacement) and do you have the LED on the mirror? I'd recommend you tackle the install yourself or take it to a third party you trust and let them do it. If the BMW doc says 8 hours its probably more like 1/2 that in the real world. Unfortunately the dealers charge by book time, not real time.

FYI, the OEM alarm kit for the prewired cars says 1.5 hours to install. I've seen it done in 30 minutes with another 10 minutes to program.

This is a DIY install unless you have money to burn. It doesn't look too hard.

I don't doubt it. Looks like you have to remove a whole lot of trim.

Yes it works plug and play for the most part. Still needs to be coded for the chirp to work on lock/unlock but everything else works.
