That's a significant time improvement! Nice work!

Thanks, Big J!

The old saying is correct: "The most effective performance mod you can do to your car is to improve the driver."

Open track day at TWS which wasn't so open. Still FUN!

TWS CCW 2:00:28 (E90 M3) - (D)

(D) = damp...T13/14/15 was kind of slick all day for my heavy car. I was tippy toeing through there all day. Finally bit me and spun on my 3rd to last lap. It really bit some porsche in T15 who hit a wall. Messed up his front end and his front bumper has torn in half. The good thing is it was a porsche...so he just messed up his trunk!

Does your car have the E36 evo wing and a stripped out interior? I was in a blue 330.

It's an old Koni challenge Hamann wing/yes to the interior stripped. I don't remember a 330, I saw an E90 M3 sedan though.

What type of timing device were you using?

Nice driving. I eked out several 2:01:xx during my 2nd session today. For some reason, I felt like I drove better the last 3 sessions, but could get into the 01's again. They even let me park in your spot which I thought might help.

Nice job after a somewhat long layoff. I ran much faster on the straights in the morning on Sat as well. Depends, parking in my spot might make you faster or make your car break down.

I feel like I could get into the low 1:56s. I was braking less and less into T7, my speedo was over 100 going through it. I was turning a little earlier than most and would add steering when the car compressed which would rotate it nicely and then unwind the steering wheel as the suspension unloaded. I'm never more than 2/3s tracking out going into T8. I think I can go through there with either a light lift or even flat out but the car will be a little squirrely from turnin to the apex. Not sure if I got enough balls yet. Then I can brake later into T1. Lastly, I think I can displace the apex on T2. I was a car width off the apex on the 1:57:37 lap.

Hey J, I was next to you in the garages, I did a 2:04.8 on Sunday morning, which I didn't think was too bad considering my 6.5 year layoff, street tires, open diff and 11psi.

Specs:

E92 335i Full weight
Michelin PSS 245/275
Stoptech BBK
11psi boost + misfires
TWS CCW 2.9 track 2:04.8

P.S. car okay?

Nice to meet you too! That's a pretty good time with the misfires and the long lay off. Going in Dec to PDS?

My car? Not so good.

MSRH CCW...1:45.68 in my M3

NT01s, Stoptech BBKs, Dinan Stage 3ish, stock dampers at full weight. But...if I did that consistently my car will not last very long. And that was probably an expensive lap!

Of course, my iphone was full and my gopro was dead. But here is a 1:46 lap.
