Front Seat Bottom, something trapped between leather and foam?
Just want to see if it's just me or if others have this, but on my car, close the back of the seat bottom where your butt probably doesn't actually touch, there seems to be fabric or extra leather or something under there that ripple up the leather a little bit. It's on both my front seats, not sure if it will eventually get pushed down or whether it will end up stretching the leather and leaving little marks or bumps there.
I circled it in the pic below, this is not my seat but saw this same thing in someone elses pic this morning and thought I'd ask and see if it's anything i should worry about or if it's something that goes away. Hopefully it's clear enough in the pic to see what i'm taking about..... if not i can try to get some better pics of mine. |

i have the same sort of condition, it looks like some wire and a small coin trapped lol...
what concerns me more thou, however, is the left driver side bolster ... i see literally every single M3 owner concerned about this.. our novillo is soft yet too soft and weak compared to the rough dakota leather.

Went to my local dealer and they explained that it was the airbag occ. wire that was showing as it was not installed correctly under the seat foam. Took a picture and bmw Canada approved a leather replacement, this is the end result! I've very pleased!

I just checked mine. I can feel there are wires under leather. I can live with this, not a big deal.

This is a wire that was installed improperly, it is a factory defect

Yes they're heated but all they replace is the leather skin/cover not the entire seat.
FYi i paid out of pocket for the lower foam insert as i knew the leather wouldn't fit well otherwise.

I edited my quote because I copied too much text from the email I sent to my SA when I had this fixed. |

No they just ziptie. I suppose if I griped they would have replaced the leather since the spot still isn't perfectly flat.

Yep, i felt around under there and felt the wire causing the bumps. I'll try that zip tie trick and see how it works. It does mostly get rid of the bump just by lighty pulling down on that wire so i assume if you get the zip tie just right it'll look ok.
