On the internet, everyone is a successful 18 year old.
Everything is under my dads name
its just that i transfer the required money into his bank account and he prints the checks under his name...I dont know about you, but to me, that still counts as paying for the car

I think your forgetting your on an M3 forum..everyone here has enough money to buy an m3...regardless of age...If i couldnt afford it i wouldnt have it. Majority of the people here are well to do and can afford a nice car, why does it matter if I am 54, 25, 18, or 79. I worked my ass off and if you cant appreciate it then you are indeed an M3 driver who is an asshole.

Every age I've ever been was for about a year each, so if I average all those years... yup, 27 it is.

Buddy, bashing? The fact is, if the car isn't in your name IT ISN'T YOURS. For the record, I had a brand new 2001 E46 M3 back when I was 17. I drove it around, it was BASICALLY my car but it wasn't in my name and the insurance company sure as hell wasn't under the impression it was my car. I worked hard as well, but hard work does not equal being able to afford an M3 at 18. You are in a circumstance that allows you to have one. Remove the factors (parents) that influence that and you CAN'T AFFORD IT. I am not hating on you, just don't act like you are making the cash to buy an M3 and pay the associated costs, because you aren't.

You can't afford an M3. You can't afford the insurance. You can afford to give your dad money for lease payments that his credit got and the insurance company thinks he is driving. That is neither negative nor positive, it is a fact. All the best my friend.

Well I am 55 and guess what I am not the oldest on this forum, divide that in half and that's how many BMW's I've gone through. DD are X5's, the M3 is a hobbie.

I'm with sticky on this one. To say that it's your M3 when it's under someone else's name does not mean it's really yours.

Also there is a difference between being able to afford the monthly payments and buying the thing outright, this maybe the reason for the age difference between the US and Europe, over in the US the finance market is a really big thing and the deals you are offered explains why so many people can drive cars like the M3 with little money behind them.

Is it an wonder why the US economy is in the state it's in and sad to say it's dragging down the rest of the world with it.

P.S.
No offence to anyone with the above comments, just a reflection of what is wrong and I would probably be doing the same if it was the norm over here.

If you drive the fucking car, you are welcome in this forum. If someone else paid for it, you are welcome in this forum. If you borrowed a buddy's M3, you are welcome in this forum.

Stay. On. The. Subject.
