Thanks for the responses everyone. I double checked my paperwork and there are a couple of forms (1 that's a screen grab from the sales rep's monitor) that shows it is ZCP. I guess I was a bit paranoid after reading an old article that stated all 2011 ZCPs come with the Auto Start / Stop feature (didn't say it was only after 09/10).
Dealers make mistakes all the time (mine SWORE that my M3 had run flats for example) and since mine was used but not CPO (it had around 7K miles on it) I just wanted to be triple sure. Thanks again for setting my mind at ease. Cheers!

Mdm, auto start, sport plus and edc have nothing to do with zcp-- my non-zcp m3 has all those features/ options.

I wonder how many of us could tell even if driven back to back, simply on the basis that EDC sport is adaptive. I bet it's less than 5%.

I thought auto/stop was a euro only option, not the US.

The auto start/stop option appeared on the 2011 M3 starting with Sept production (9/2010). My 2011 was one of the last cars produced before the factory shut down in August of 2010. I do not have start/stop.

Just before I picked up my 2012 M3 last Monday I had a call from the dealer (apparently manager) it was a lady ... she wanted to sell me tire/wheel insurance ... and in her sales pitch came up with "you do know that your car comes with the very expensive RFT?" ... At this point I stopped her and said ... "If the car has RFT it's a deal breaker you would have to change the wheels out from my existing 2011 M3 to the new one!" She exceed herself and put me on hold then confirmed yes indeed my car comes without RFT. During the spring International Auto Show in Toronto at the BMW display there was this nice 2011 M3 in racing colour displayed ... When I asked the BMW fellow (his title was also Manager) about the tires he insisted they are RFT. I just smiled and left. Yes indeed some people at BMW don't know about the M3 tire, guess we have to update them So I came across 2 actual cases ... also in some of the option lists from dealers on the internet BMW dealer web sites the tires are specified as RFT. I would never run my M3 on RFT ... hated them on my Z4.

This actually happened to me with a BMW rep. (the one at the M3 display) at the BMW museum in Munich!!! I looked at him, turned around, and walked away. |

Don't believe so... And I have not bothered to test it personally!
