Found MSRP in SoCal!
Hey all,
My first post, but not that new to the forums. After a couple weeks of searching, I finally found a dealer that would give me MSRP and let me order now. All the LA BMW dealers either had a 1.5 year waitlist or a $10-$25k markup! I lucked out in SD and actually found 2 dealers offering MSRP. I went to one and got my order in. Does anyone know if I can bring my order sheet to the other dealer to get them to offer a lower price? Here's my order: Sparking Graphite Ext Red Fox (non-extended) int Carbon Fiber trim 19's Premium pkg Tech pkg Heated Front Seats Weird thing is that after everything was completed, I asked, "I'm assuming that this is the 6 spd manual transmission..." He completely missed that choice, then said he thought BMW was changing to make ONLY the DCT! I told him that I would only take the 6 spd trans and he said he'd get back to me. I also asked for no front license plate so there's no holes in my front bumper to which he said we don't do that cause people were threatening their dealers with lawsuits; but he said he'd "See what he could do". He said the production slots for April are not available yet, but I'd get the first one when they were. I guess that puts me for delivery in May? Price was $74k including everything. They have a MANDATORY $1690 paint and interior protectant and LoJack package which I guess is their form of a markup. WooooHooo! |

Many of the Forum sponsor dealers will sell it to you for MSRP and let you pick it up in Munich (ED), then take re-delivery at PCD

You can mark up any product as much as you want, but it remains to be seen if people will pay for it, which determines the transaction/market price. Heck, my M3 is for sale for $100k!

I called Teri, I guess the guy that handles the production slots wasn't in. I'll get a call back. In the meantime, North County BMW is holding the second production slot in April for me for MSRP.

Terri finally got back to me, I'd be #4 in April production. North County is currently holding a #2 April production spot for me, so we'll see how it goes when those slots open up
