Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers vs. Stock Painted Covers
All -
I'm thinking my next mod should be the Performance Carbon Fiber Mirror covers, but there is something about the look of the stock painted covers that I like. I have the carbon roof and getting the carbon covers makes sense, but I wonder if you lose some contrasting with the mirrors when you remove the painted covers (assuming you have a bright colored M3). What's your take?

I thought about this alot. I would just keep the stock. It just me but I think it looks better.
A carbon fiber lip would be bad ass though.

Are you going to install the CF Mirror yourself or? I actually bought them with the cars but not installed....
And to your question, I think it works very well with contrast colors, especially the whites and reds (white/black and red/black are no brainer sexy-combination). I am not sure with the silver or the grey's though... |

I just think that the white mirror covers retains more contrast than the carbon fiber covers. The roof is already carbon fiber and I have the carbon fiber rear spoiler.

To me it doesn't make sense with on black...but thats just me. On a contrasting color...i love it. I have them on my AW, one of my favorite cosmetic mods.

Despite not being a fan of cosmetic CF I just swapped my mirror caps with CF ones. I got the same weave as the OEM roof. My car is Space Gray, I think it looks great.
