Installing GP Thunder 8500's and main Xenon lights?
Hi guys,
I bought the GP Thunder 8500 bulbs for the angel eyes and the GP Thunder 6000k for the Xenons to make both sets of bulbs look whiter/bluer. The stock bulbs just look too yellow for my liking. Anyway, does anyone have any instructions on how I can install the bulbs? I have an E93 M3 Convertible. Thanks.

The angel eyes are easy. Just turn the bulb 90 degrees and pull it out. If by xenons you mean the high and low beams, aren't they already white?

Thanks guys - I managed to find some instructions on how to install the GP Thunder 8500 Angel eyes and I just tried this on my M3 Convertible.
I managed to install the passenger's side (right when viewed from the front) and this went fine. However when I did the driver's side, the fitting just won't turn anti-clockwise to secure the bulb. This is after 2 hours of trying and applying plenty of pressure! I tried taking the fitting out of the electrical socket and trying the process all over again but still no luck - the fitting just wouldn't turn anti-clockwise. So I put the stock/OEM fitting back in on both driver's and passenger's sides. Has anyone got any suggestions for how I can get the driver's side to work? Otherwise I will have to return the GP Thunder 8500 bulbs that I purchased from ElectronicWoot.

they are a bit of a pain in the ass because there's not much room for your hand in there. make sure before you try and twist the bulb that all three tabs on it are inside the housing, I found that the hardest part, once they are in there the bulb usually spins into locked position pretty easy. It's a pain if you don't have it just right though.

I just tried switching the bulbs and the same bulb that didn't work on the drivers side doesn't work on the passengers side so it is the bulb that is a problem.
Will be returning these 8500's then...
