Think I finally got it right where I want it...

Except for the ESS supercharger coming, I think I'm about done modding for a little while.... well, maybe update the tail lights, and some other stuff.....

Bought this car just a couple months ago. I don't use the M3 as a daily driver but I sure do love to get her out of the garage more than I originally intended.

Finally got the car back today after doing the suspension and wheels (had a bent wheel and had to wait to ship a new one).

Dinan intake, Dinan Exhaust, Dinan midpipe, Dinan suspension (lowered 1/2"), Dinan sway bar, Dinan pulley, Dinan race tune and DCT tune, added the carbon splitters and Apex ARC-8 wheels, too.

Not sure how I feel about the anthracite wheel color in pictures, it sure looks much better in person.

Looks good! Hopefully you get some oil analysis done before you install the supercharger. Enjoy it in good health

What are your thought on the dinan springs? How acceleration and braking on them as well?

Much of the Dinan upgrades will no longer be usable, tune, pulley, intake after the S/C. Nice Car, good S/C kit

I'm tracking the car again on the 25th. I guess we'll see if I even notice a difference on the new springs. So far I've just driven the car home and the ride quality is unchanged from stock. Which is a plus.

Nope. I'm already a little worried about rubbing at the track.

I'm aware. I'll sell them or whatever and scrap the tune, no big deal. I'll wait until later in the year or even early next year to do the supercharger. I'd really like to get some more track days and enjoy the work I've already done before adding more.

car looks good, but i agree the wheels don't seem to complement the color of the car. not just the color of the wheels but the wheel design itself.

Also, I would get rid of the DINAN badge at the back. i know you got a lot of Dinan parts etc, but aesthetically it does not look great on the car....

Looks good, nice mod list as well. I'd enjoy it for a little before adding the s/c, will feel like a whole new car again after adding that. Some OEM carbon mirrors and trunk spoiler would compliment the splitters nicely.

I may put the stock wheels back on and use the apex wheels for the track. I originally bought the ARC-8's as track wheels but wanted to try them on the car for a few days and see how I like them. But looking at the pictures, I'm leaning towards just using them at the track. They do look MUCH better in person, and the time of day wasn't great for pictures.

I don't like the look of the carbon mirrors and carbon trunk spoiler, so I won't be doing that.

Yes take advantage of track days being NA, you are stressing the car much less and can drive the hell out of it on the track (relatively speaking)

Looks great, I like the wheels.

I would say add a rear diffuser and call it a day!

We have a whole thread on the "Track" section for this topic

I really like those wheels with the car color, and I normally don't like dark wheels. I've always loved that color--Silverstone, right?

So help me understand something--why all the modifications so soon after buying the car? If it were me, I think I would drive it stock for quite a while, add something, drive it and enjoy and evaluate the change for a bit, add something else, repeat. How did you know what you wanted to do? Did you know before you purchased? Seriously--I'm not criticizing your approach, I'm honestly curious.

The M3 is not my daily driver. My Q50S is my daily, and I much prefer it as a daily driver, too. So I bought the M3 with the intention of doing all the "basics" right away. Intake, exhaust, basic suspension, tune. I liked what Dinan had to offer, though expensive.

So I reached out to add the exhaust, intake, pulley, and tune. And of course I'm notified that they have a midpipe, with a race tune, that adds 27HP (or so).... well sure... let's do that.

Then the springs and ride handling kit, why not. It wasn't that expensive. After a couple track days wrecking my factory wheels, I needed track wheels... so I just go the ARC-8's...

And the so the story goes. What was supposed to be really an exhaust and maybe intake to beef up the car a bit, resulted in everything you see...

I wanted to get the car the way it is now, and at this point other than a couple minor things, it'll probably stay this way for a little while until I feel like adding the supercharger.

But anyways. It's a project car, not a daily driver, so without mods, it's not so much of a project. And you know what, the Silverstone had to grow on me a bit, but I really like it now more than when I first bought the car.

Makes sense. I've got the Dinan intake and exhaust (installed by previous owner) and admittedly, I like them where I didn't think I would. Your car is sick. It's funny that you've done so much except the black grills, which I think are what lots of guys do first thing!

Looks great and love the color. I think a CF trunk spoiler and Dinan intake is all you need. Oh....and it looks like a LED tailight update would be in order.

The anthracite wheels were a big step and I'm not 100% certain I'll keep them on for normal use. I generally really, really don't like aftermarket cosmetic modifications, I think they end up looking tacky.

Back in the day we used to make fun of the Discount Auto Parts "modders" who had every little glue on cheap piece of crap on their car to "mod" it. That stuck with me, so I tend to hate mods that drastically alter the exterior appearance of the car. The OEM splitters, Dinan exhaust, and wheels that are not far off from OEM BMW styling was pushing it for me. I even had a tough decision with the suspension and lowering the car. But I'm glad I did.

So, very unlikely I'll do a black grill. Yeah.

The LED tail lights are almost certainly coming, very soon. Definitely not a carbon fiber spoiler, not a fan of it.

Volk te37 and sl's look really good for everyday driving and of course are super light and can take a pounding at the track. I was undecided myself when I dropped back down the 18's untill I saw them in person.
