Nice... where did you pick up the 1D classic? I have the 5D and love it. Thinking about upgrading to the 5D Mark-II.

Thanks. I was actually looking to sell my 5D or trade it for a mkII or mkIIn but I found this sweet number on the Talkphotography forum. The 1D classic and the 5D classic together are just awesome. The only thing you need to consider about the 1D classic is 4mp and the battery life is dire. Third party 2200mah batteries are awesome. I swapped the endcaps with the genuine Canon one so I kept the weather sealing.

If you have the 5D, you wont really notice much new with the 5D II. I used one for a weekend, I wasnt thrilled with it because there was not much more than what I already had. The 1D was my next logical upgrade.

Nice pics, but watch the backgrounds and don't shoot so tight as to cut off parts! Composition is key.

Problem if I shot with more space, cars. These were right by the road. Tighter crop and no cars worked better for me. Looks pretty odd with cars.

Thanks for responding. I had a feeling that I wouldn't notice much of a difference. I need a good telephoto zoom now.

Ill have to take some of my new toy. After I hooked that left, then a right and all the way down. Then a left then right and followed the road down. You come out near that Shell. Sorry if my directions were bad.

I headed to Richmond Park for a few hours testing out the new gear with that combo I waved out the window.

Im planning to head to Santa Pod on the 1st of Feb so if you know anyone who is free, send em.

If you can live without IS and 2.8, keep an eye out for a 300 f4L like I have picked up. Optics are great and weight is minimal.

Im now looking for some primes to fill the gap between 85mm and 300mm.
